17 RepliesHonestly it depends mostly on your class: -of you are a titan, You will expect to get closer to enemies, so shotgun -warlockwhat of ten play with a bit of distance, so fusion rifle -juntar obtén play at a great range if sunslinger or can get invisible as a sharpshooter, so sniper But if you are very good or confident with a weapon, use that weapon

I've recently started to have a shot gun equipped during patrols. I realised I hardly snipe during patrols and only fusion for specific bounties. I never gave shotguns time for the first few months but now I enjoy them. They're not so useful for nightfalls and such though, better off with a sniper for them.

My set up Titan - auto / sniper Hunter - scout / shotgun Warlock - pulse / fusion

I enjoy switching between all three because why not. Fun when you go on a tear with either one.

Completely situational primarily based on distance. Shotgun = up close fusion = mid range sniper = long. There's exceptions but for a general rule that rings true 95% of the time.

I wish I was better with snipers but I suppose that'll come with practice. I loved the fusion rifle in pve, but the charge time didn't leave much room for second chances in pvp. The shotgun tore it up in pvp though, especially on mars.

4 RepliesI dont think it is even fair, the sniper is useful, the shotgun is pretty weak, almost not worth switching to, and the fusion rifle is practically useless.

I've tried them all, none of my characters took a shotgun or a fusion rifle but they all took a sniper rifle. That says it all!
