My girl friend and lame video games
my girlfriend consistently plays childish games like Toy Story 3 in Disney Universe while I'm aware of those can be simple fun and distracting video games I find it nearly impossible to get her into any of the games that I play black ops 2 battlefield 4 for the upcoming destiny I also play RPGs rts and mmog. which have quite a few female gamers amongst them. you know male to female ratio. I was wondering if anybody could think of some good ideas that might get her more interested. maybe some games that are kind of like hers and kind of like mine idk lol

Personally, I used to be a lot like her. Platform games were my favourite (Crash Bandicoot took up a lot of my time as a kid). Simple controls and a good time killer. My partner introduced me to Oblivion soon after we got together. From there I instantly found a love for RPGs and entered a new world. Over time, I've discovered more games myself and he had introduced me to more. I still don't like COD. Nothing he said it did made me like it. However, having an open mind allowed my having experience to grow and develop. The best intermediate would be a game that is still quite simple on the controls. Jumping into complicated quickly is a deterrent, and will probably put her off trying anything else. Over time, she'll become more confident and you will find more in common.

My GF plays Disney universe, it's controls are easy and it's easy to play without penalties. Other than that any other game is too difficult because controls are too many.

I don't know man. I stopped playing video games for a few years until I started dating the girl I'm dating now. About a year into dating she bought herself a ps3 and all the old memories pored back into me. We game together all the time in our spare time. It started with us playing a game I likes a lot as a kid, dynasty warriors. Simple, fun. Kinda repetitive but an excellent story.
