You do realize you can switch your subclasses? Say you have Two Titans both with Defender. One of you can switch to Striker just for the raid.

Or if you had 3 Titans, one of them could be.....well, redundant, because he can't possibly be a substantially different build than the others. Two options per class just doesn't really seem like options to me. I don't think it's going to give the game much variety. You can look at every character you meet and instantly know that he does one of only two things.

Well one defender could use it's traits to be a more offensive build and another defender could have a defensive build. I think you are giving this game less credit because you are thinking too much like an RPG game. Without having Healer, Tank, and DPS it takes a lot of classes out of the equation. Because it in an action shooter technically everybody is a DPS. So you give them different roles from that. There is only 3 abilities, works well for action. Your Grenade has three different types to choice from. Your Super has 3 different options for it and so does your melee. Then you go into the traits further down they add more options. Maybe adding something to your special, maybe adding something to your grenade. You will find situations that some traits are better than others. I have a long post in my clan forums that tells how each class will be effective in a raid environment, each one will have its "role" to play. I can for sure see 2 titans, 1 Sunsinger, 1 Gunslinger being needed in a raid environment and the other 2 classes being fillers. Of course we got to see what mechanics they come up with and how certain builds react to them.
