Sounds like it would take out a fundamental premise of the game. A preorder bonus should be nothing more than a fleeting toy to tease folks into a pre-order.

  • The idea was for a token that grows with you because it is limited and unique and you earned it. So should we get it, play for five minutes, have it become obsolete, and then us trash it? After all we worked hard to earn the money to pay for the game early, we had the foresight to pre-order, and we are getting these items as a reward for just that. Why should we want to hang onto these symbols stating "I was one of the first" forever? I still have my first Army uniform, I worked hard and earned it even now that the Army has moved onto new shiny uniforms. Is it usable? Yes, just not state of the art. Is it one of the rewards of my life that I will try to hang on to as long as I can? Yes, I earned it and I am proud of it. Do I still use it? Yes, just not as often, I do have better things in my inventory. Does that shed some light on what exactly I am getting at?

  • I understood the premise from the OP and I still say, nope. Pro-Order bonuses are fine as is. People should not loose out on something that actually matters by not pre-ordering. The Marketing guys don't need any more smoke and mirrors to operate with.
