Crota is said to have created the Hive, he most likely was a scientist or warrior who turned his race into what you see now. What he isn't is the darkness. The Hive don't use dead fallen and cabal. If so, why haven't they taken humans? Also, other than core body structure, the Hive is a completely different race, different from both. Also, it says that they were an ancient race seeking immortality. Also, those things you thing are bones? Most likely an exoskeleton. They are insects. The idea that the Fallen want to fight the darkness is sorry, BS. Have you ever looked at a servitor? That thing is spewing darkness. Also, they have no home, and it's obvious that they are just splinters of what they used to be. They are, literally, almost just servants, doing whatever the darkness tells them to. Cabal are a vast militaristic empire, and as any empire, they really just want territory and resources, whether the darkness controls them are not is iffy, but they do have Psion's, which shows that they have been influenced by the darkness or something else supernatural. The vex are constantly said to be time traveling, we have no proof that they come from an alternate time, and if they could, why not just go back and take Earth before we even evolved? They are made of a copper alloy, most likely because copper is extremely common and cheap, making effective mass production of disposable troops. The idea that we are the Vex is just stupid, why would we want to destroy are past selves? The idea of alternate reality seems somewhat possible, but would require power WAY beyond the imaginative. The idea that they are just teleported is completely possible. With no personality or actual brain, they can be teleported with no mental or physical damage. What they seem to do is make stone structures and fully consume planets with their own race. They most likely are expanding territory, but that would mean that there is a leader, or they are following the commands of a race long gone. Which would signify that most likely, they find the darkness as an enemy, but lack the capability to understand us, viewing us as just another vermin to eradicate.
