The reason males choose female characters
Its because its a role playing game your guardian does not have to to be a spitting image of you maybe people like the smaller build because the want a ninja character
Others because the just want too why do males choose a male character do you like looking at a man constantly? I don't that's why I choose a female they are more appealing to me and my play style. And I don't think people should be called names based upon there play style. Rant over

I did female Warlock and Titan because they are just smaller and harder to see in Crucible. Less bulky. Male hunter because there is no real difference.

1 ReplyMy character's gender and appearance is based on perhaps the most peculiar reasoning you'll ever encounter. I'm a writer and as a writer I have to develop various characters. That includes both their personality and appearance. Here's the interesting bit. I have an imagination that runs wild, however, it is rare for me to actually visualise things; most of my creations are thought in words rather than images. As a result of that fact I take the opportunity of character creation and utilise it to convert those thoughts into a visual version. It often helps me work out the finer details.

Who really gives a damn? I play what I play, and you play what you play... What we should all understand, is to be respectful, regardless of what other players choices are. I play male and female characters, it just depends on the game, art design, and potential stats. Characters are all digital constructs, there is usually very little difference between male and females anyway... Nobody's gay for picking the opposite gender... Now they may be gay, and pick the opposite gender, and that's ok too! People need to learn respect! *smiles* Enjoy!

If a guy chooses a female just cuz, I have no problem. If a guy chooses a female for a smaller hitbox.... I don't care if the females actually do have smaller hitboxes or not, I want to rip that dude's throat apart with a Screwdriver.

Look pal.. I'm a horny gamer. I can't go 5 minutes without looking at a girls ass or I just lose it. I need to look at a female every second of my life. In fact, I'm really considering getting plastic surgery so I have boobs. That way I can always stare at my jugs.

1 ReplyI don't understand this argument... if when you're playing a game you're staring at your character, you're doing it wrong. If the only time a girl will like you is your own female avatar you're doing it wrong. If you think men who play female characters are not doing it for sexual reasons you're doing it wrong. The thing you are doing wrong in the second 2 points is life

For something like Dragon Age, pick a female to see how story plays out differently. For something like Destiny, to laugh at the guys making fools of themselves. :-)

5 RepliesI've played a few female characters, and more than enough male characters. For me playing a female character in a tanking position/class is almost more appealing to me because in our society that's not supposed to happen. It's like a personal challenge you could say, "I'm gonna play this female tank and be a damn good tank." You don't see em very often. Just my 2 cents.

Wrong: smaller hit-boxes. I asked every guy who does that, same answer every time.

After giving it a great deal of thought, I tend to pick female characters because it seems to piss off the large percentage of teenage boys that hang out on forum boards complaining about such things. its sort of an 'arsehole deterrent' which hopefully means they'll stay away from me in-game.
