I don't agree with most of this. The first solution (I think it's very early and I skimmed) was to make guns categorized by class but then people would just play as the class to get the gun they want and there would be all hunters or all warlocks. Also I don't think the guns need to be reorganized but special or heavy like the hand cannon or sniper. The sniper is powerful but it is balanced by low ammo and the hand cannon would never be chosen over a sniper or shotgun as a special. The new buffs haven't even been seen yet so i think we need to see those before we start getting ahead of ourselves

Well, if you read the post (probably should have just went for the TL:DR) you would see that all I was recommending the entire time was that each class would have one type of gun in each category that they were best with, somehow. I suggested reorganizing certain guns, like making the sniper a heavy and putting the hand cannon there (although it would be refitted more for close range).

I think if you had proficiencies to get like faster reload speed or things like that on each type of gun and each class started better at one but could "level up" whatever they wanted. I don't agree however with changing the guns between primary and stuff

Well, bonuses like that could be introduced like I said. Another person has suggested weapon proficiencies, which I said makes sense. What is your problem with changing guns between primary, special, and heavy? Not like they would go there as is, they would be changed and rebalanced (the Hand Cannon would be outfitted for close range probably, in my scenario. Also, it would probably be really fast to switch to and reload, but they could do whatever with it on the basis of making it balanced so people would pick it).
