I like the idea, but that's more for an mmo. Bungie wanted to make a game that you are free to customize and play as you want, and that's what destiny is going to be. If you want races that have certain buffs to classes, go try elder scrolls online

Bungie acknowledges that the game has similarities with MMO's, and wants you to bring a character to life. Randomly slapping on whatever weapon has the highest damage, or is the best one of your favorite category isn't exactly immersing yourself in a character. Classes actually being classes to a greater extent might help, but hey, if people don't like it I can definitely understand. Oh, and about ESO, I would, but I don't have a computer that can run it, and recently I haven't been a fan of pay to play things.
