Why is there a "console war"
People really need to get a grip on this so called "console war". Bungie is making a great game for BOTH consoles. There are the occasional TIMED exclusives. It's not like they only made the game for PS. Either way, there are exclusive games for both consoles so it goes both ways. Everyone needs to just grow up. I don't want there to be an XBOX community and than a PS community. I want it to be one big gaming community. Thank you.

Yes it is true that Bungie made the game for both PS4 and Xbox One, but they runs on different server, different world. PS4 cannot war with Xbox One. So there will be Xbox One Destiny community and PS4 destiny community. or im missing news about cross plaform play? If bungie do support cross platform play then it is AWESOME :D at first there were PS4 vs Xbox One. and then months later Destiny released on PC and there will be PS4 vs Xbox One vs PC.

The way I see it, in truth, both Sony and Microsoft are "Team Console" They need each other because we need both of them to keep competition alive. They generate headlines for each other, they actually work together for deciding which games they each get exclusive content for. And the death of one may lead to the death of the other, from the other platforms of gaming. So in a way the console wars is just advertising for both sides...and the fanboys are walking billboards. But hey ho....14 Days till Destiny.

As long as there are at least two different consoles there will always be a "console war". The Genesis/SNES one was a highlight for me, probably because I was a kid at the time and the internet was sort of there but the "arguments" were mostly at school so you only got the opinion of people around you, bizarrely enough it didn't seem quite as petty or resort to as much name calling as it does nowadays.

4 RepliesI've owned the PS2, Xbox, PS3, Xbox360, and now a PS4. So I'm not a "fanboy" of either. But IMO: Xbox>>PS2 PS3>>Xbox360 PS4??XboxOne I dont have an Xbox One yet to know which is better, but I will one day so ill reserve judgement til then.

2 RepliesCause the hardcore Xbox fanboys are butthurt PS4 is winning and also the PC master -blam!- constantly have to show up to remind us how much of a hard-on they have for their computers. Both groups are the main source of a "console war". The nintendo fanboys calmed down since the Wii U started doing better.

But the ps4 itself has better hardware except the contoller. BTW there is a war because of no cross-platform games! and exclusives. I don't support said war though. [spoiler]timed exclusives don't matter you will get them in a year and the armour isn't even that powerful[/spoiler]

I wish there were no such thing as exclusives but that's what makes the video gaming world different an unique. It's exciting and full of drama and that's what people love. Not everyone can afford more than 1 console so that's why there will always be so much competition.

Cause fanboys are childish people who can't afford nothing more other that their current purchase this applies to PC fanboys too. I have an X1, gaming PC and will be getting a ps4 when the games I want come out.
