This can happen to anyone, it just so happens to usually happen to sony.

Because it's easier to hack then xbl
-
it wasn't hacked it was basically stress tested to the point of collapsing, i'm sure bill gates paid someone to do it cause Sony is outselling him 3 to 1
-
Lol, 3 to 1. It's not even 2 to 1. And bill gates is richer then Sony
-
Actually it is 3 to 1 go on go check, google to your hearts content, but facts are facts
-
Umm Xbox shipped 5 million consoles 2 months ago and Sony just released they sold 10 million ps4. I don't know where you are getting this 3:1 thing at though
-
Wrong! Any server can be hacked/attacked. Please pull your pants up, your fanboy is showing.
-
Are you stupid. Everybody knows xbox's security is better
-
It's not a matter of security its a matter of who they want to attack no one is safe from this attack I would not be surprised if Microsoft did get hit soon.
-
Why would Sony store all there stuff on a database. Also the hackers said they hacked playstation because Sony was greedy using ps plus money and not improving there security
-
Ddos is not a hack its just flooding the servers until they crash.
-
You must be stupid to make those assumptions.
-
Not really,it comes with the fact that MS is a software company an knows how to deal and protect against these things better. Same reason why each Playstation usually has better specs than the Xbox. They know their Hardware. Name one time XBL servers have been maliciously attacked by a person or group on a large scale.

Edited by ExtremistFlyer7: 8/24/2014 9:09:57 PMAre you serious?First off, that's Windows XP. That was released in 2001. Show me the same thing with Windows 8 or Windows Vista even. Secondly,I clearly said Xbox Live. So I'm waiting, the link solved nothing,
-
The hack you're referring to happened once so I fail to see what you mean when you said "usually."
-
You really think this has happened only once? Google will easily prove you wrong.
-
I'm talking about Hacks not this DDoS vulnerability that's going on now.
-
You again seriously think PS has only been hacked or DDoS' d once? Whatever though I will not get into this pointless conversation.
-
PS has been hacked ONCE, and it was an inside job, this DDoS attack is the first as well and will most likely be fixed Fanboyism doesn't get you anywhere
-
Lol I hurt someones feelings aww.
-
nope feelings still intact i'm just not blinded by blind fanboyism granted i no longer buy microsoft consoles but thats only cause when microsoft said that a power strip was a 3rd party accessory that voided my warranty and refused to replace my broken console i decided that PS had better customer service, as well as consoles that don't break down via red rings and other easily avoidable design flaws
-
The anger is strong with this one.
-
Because most of the time it happens to sony. Just goes to show they have bad servers.
-
Listen kid. I am majoring in computer engineering and I can tell you this, it doesn't matter how strong a server is it cannot stop all vulnerabilities in hardware. It can take preventative measures but there will always be vulnerabilities.
