Needing to buy a tv, and in the past I've had good luck with samsung. I'm looking at the new 4k models, but the reviews are very critical of input lag for fps games. Anyone out there played beta on one of these tubes that would care to comment? Thanks in advance !!

My roommate and I have a 60" Samsung smart tv. There's a huge lag if you don't put it in "game mode." Sadly the colors aren't as vibrant and the frame rate isn't as good, but at least there isn't lag. Many TVs have this setting these days. Usually you can find it under settings/general settings or something. I hope this was the kind of response you were looking for!

3 RepliesSony tvs always have some of the best input lag stats, coming in at the lowest ms rates. But view angle is also the most limited. You're not going to find too many individuals with UHD 2k or 4k tvs, let alone enough people amongst them who are even aware of input lag and what it does to players in fps style games. Best to check toms hardware and see if they have a report up, or start asking on their forums. They might perform the tests out of curiosity.
