What I find funny, now that more and more people are writing about it (on whichever side), is that it would seem like, anyone who claims they are a feminist, should suddenly be immune to criticism.
And as though it's impossible for a "feminist" to be a sociopath.
It makes me wonder if people are defending her because as a woman in the gaming industry, she'd be considered a minority.
I really don't understand why it's impossible for people to look at all what is happening, here, as objectively as possible...
I mean I want women succeeding in the industry and not doing so by gaining sexual favours...

It's actually hurting the movement. Her bs will set back the cause a decade or so.

I wonder about that though. Sure that's what some people may generalize, but I do hope that people are rational enough to know that there are women out there legitimately trying to succeed in a male dominant industry, and that said industry shouldn't stigmatize all women due to one spoil sport.

That is true, but it's only takes one person to -blam!- it up for everyone else.

Ferguson is certainly showing that... :/

It's examples like these that expose corruption and serve as the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. All the anger is still there, but an excise has now been given to execute all of the rage people have built up. They are simply tired of all the bullshit and people getting away with it.

And with the "status quo" these days, it's tough to see how it will all work out. I mean, look at Occupy Wall Street. I can't think of anything beneficial that came from that event. I remember my sociology prof talking about something like that. Wherein it is often inevitable for a nation to have an uprising, it can be delayed in a number of ways, one example I remember him saying was the use of social benefits. I mean sure social benefits are good, but if they're in place instead of something to solve a bigger issue, people may not consider it, since for example, they may be getting welfare, and not have to worry.

Yeah I mean it's how this country was founded. People were pissed off at the lack of representation and being taxed without the ability to debate it.

It's one of those things that I'm sure is just a matter of time... But in the meantime, it'll be interesting to see where it goes.
