Forewarning: I didn't get a chance to play the beta.
In Destiny, do you feel there is less emphasis on stats and that regardless of the choices you make you will end up with something good that suits your play style? In other words, I have a feeling that the loot in Destiny will be more "meaningful" than Borderlands 2 even if they are rare and not as many as them.
I will be honest, too many stats (in a loot & shoot game) is IMO, a bit pointless and I spend too much time just working out stats. I know many people love Borderlands 2 so I'm curious how this community wants the loot system to be like.

99.999999% of borderlands weapons were TRASH. I pretty much gave every weapon a shot in Destiny's beta. And will do the same in full release. All weapons will be viable in crucible. Some will just have more unique abilities that are very advantageous.

I want to have a weapon nobody else will have. Destiny will make that happen.

Borderlands: white rarity weapons, everywhere......

I preferred the loot system in Destiny over BL. Their was two much crap loot in BL that I ended up selling than actually using. The loot system in Destiny seemed rewarding

4 RepliesThe green item drops usually felt worthwhile, and all the better for normally two or three on a single strike. Borderlands' items just clogged up landscape and inventory, and you were rarely far from a vending machine in B2 so nothing felt particularly special. I also prefer the Engram system, the anticipation of what you might get.
