I disagree with him. It has nothing to do with PvP and PvE. It is how the armor and weapon exotics effect the class, effect your build. They are like adding addition slots on your class tree. So they want you to make strategic choices in how your character plays and what role you play in a group.

  • Well your opinion is one of the few unique ones to visit this thread and frankly it's pretty good. The only thing I can say to you is that he's basing what he is saying off what information Bungie themselves have released. So if the gear has anything to do with one type of gameplay or another then it was Bungie's decision to make it that way. You have a very good argument though, thank you for voicing it.

  • Well I see it as this. People that don't like something they are going to find a "logical" reason to cry about it. Other people will just find reasons to say whatever, because they agree with everything Bungie does (fanboys) or they don't see why Bungie should change it. You got to look at the info and ask "Why would Bungie make that choice? Has to be a reason behind it." If they allowed to wear all exotics how would it really effect PvE and PvP? Everybody would be close to balance so how does that make anybody more OP? So that argument really makes no sense, since everybody can do the same thing. And it works both ways. So the only thing that made sense was character customization. Like let's say you are a Titan, and going there cause I seen these exotics shown in videos. There is a exotic chest piece that when you get the trait unlocked you get a 2nd grenade piece, that is really nice. There is a exotic head piece for Titan that automatically gives you Death from Above and another trait. So then you got to pick for what you are doing, do I want to have an extra grenade or wear the helmet so I can double dip on my Fist of Havoc ability. It's nothing to do with making you OP as most say, it's forcing players to make choices. Now those pieces also do more than I mentioned but those are the more big things about them. This post went longer than I thought. I was just trying to say most people don't try to research why choices are made, they just make assumptions.
