Confirmed retard.

Yeah, people will be much more satisfied with a level 30 rank on their profile rather than a Inheritor symbol. The shiny rank you got on Reach is what kept a lot if people playing, and they made it an insane amount of cR to get max rank. You've already seen Halo 4 fail with this too. I got to SR 130 less than two months into the games life cycle, and I stopped playing. It became boring as I had nothing to play for, and the hidden skill ranking system did nothing as you couldn't see it. I'll probably get to level 30 in Destiny in a few months, and move onto a different game. Ranks are what keep people coming back to the game, and it's a shame you and most developers don't see that.

The level system in Destiny is a tutorial on how to upgrade your class. Nothing more. That's why the levels are insignificant. Actual levels are a shallow attempt to keep players interested. Many gamers don't think that getting to Inheritor is worth the effort. You don't get anything for it. At least in Destiny, there are bragging rights associated with Exotic gear. Use your fucking brain.

The majority of good players I played with on Reach cared about their rank, as they would do the daily and weekly challenges constantly, and their rank often came up in conversation. You must have simply played with low level players and children in most of your games.

If you think completing mundane chores for 200cR in an attempt to get a different emblem beside your gamertag warrants 100+ hours, by all means, go for it. I'll be playing games that are actually good, which doesn't include lolReach. You must have simply talked with try-hard dickriding Bungietards in most of your games.

Your opinion on Reach is just that. Your opinion. Tens of thousands of players were on it every day enjoying themselves.
You must have simply talked with try-hard dickriding Bungietards in most of your games.
Heh. Resorting to insults because you can't, for some odd reason, accept the fact that many people enjoyed this game. Even if you don't like the game, you need to give credit where credit is due, and that includes its xp ranking system. I'm not going to look at a level 30 character and go "Wow, that person worked hard for that. Good on him". They won't care, just like people didn't in Halo 4, or any Call of Duty game.

Edited by Locke: 8/23/2014 2:56:27 AMAre you mental? The point of the game is to go "wow, look at that guy's armour. He worked real hard for that." It replaces the ridiculous notion that a number makes you good. Fucking moron, do me a favour and cease to exist.

Having a goal to work towards is just a bonus, and can help with the longevity of a game. Such as with Reach.
Fucking moron, do me a favour and cease to exist.
Oh boy. Still a little boy I see. Do yourself a favor and grow up. Your insults bore me.

I'm done. You've gone incoherent.
I'm done. You've gone incoherent.
Ah. I see. In other words you're defeated in your own argument. Good day.
-
its not halo...
-
That's completely irrelevant to what my point was on the xp system.
-
my bad, i misunderstood... i see your point, butthis game isnt about ranks, getting to level 20 is when the game really starts to open up... but i do see your point, and somewhat agree
-
Good ol AFK cR farming hahaha. I hated that so much.
-
As far as my knowledge goes, the only really good cR farming was on the Sword Base campaign mission with the target finder, and that was boring and tedious and only worked for a bit until you matched out your commendations. Maybe I was just out of the loop.
-
But a step up from the stale game.
-
Opinion based, and no one can say anything until the full game actually comes out.
