I hate to be this guy...

But if you don't have five friends to play Raids with.... Maybe you should get out of the house more often. Just saying...

  • I tried going out of the house once. 10/10 graphics, but the gameplay and story were absolute shit

    • Im rarely ever in my house because im always at school or working. "Getting out of the house more often" doesnt mean shit. However I still don't have 5 friends to play with. You might think its super easy to find friends nowadays but it's really not. You probably have people to play with that you met a long time ago and just assume "if i have friends, than everyone else should have friends or they're losers.. its so hard to find someone who doesnt judge you immediately or isnt fake as f*ck, and its especially harder for people who are teenagers or young adults (who dont have friends from childhood).. and yes, there will always be the option of clans and things like that, but the chances of those people becoming actual friends is pretty low.. This is a huge reason why there was an such an uproar of hate for bungie when they announced that there would not be matchmaking for raids.. sure, you could just come here to the forums and join a clan or ask random people to join up, but how strong will that bond truly be? If raids are supposed to be these huge difficult obstacles that require a ton of teamwork and communication, how can you count on random people to stick together for extended amounts of time? One wipe and a person rage quits.. the rest of the people either waste time finding another person or people get impatient and leave one after another, and the system slowly crumbles. Im not for or against the raid matchmaking, just a point I thought I should add. You are also incredibly rude and ignorant to assume that everyone can make friends as easy as you may be able to. People may be anti social or awkward, may have low self esteem, may have different fears about/because society, and so on. Me personally, I wouldn't consider myself to be anti social, but I just hate people in general. Most of my hate for the general public came from going to a highschool with an incredibly obnoxious and ignorant student base. I also work where I have to serve the public on a daily basis, and I just dont like how people act. I dont talk to people unless I have to, which would lead to it being very hard for me personally to make friends, let alone friends that also like video games, have the same console as me, and have the same taste in games. If you would have come off as a troll on this post, I would have completely ignored you. However, you sounded very serious which is the only reason why you get this reply. Dont assume anything on the internet.. most of the time you will be corrected...

      • And to everyone whining about no match made raids, why would you want to go thorough one with five random people, and it won't be that hard to find friends whether its in game or on the forums

        • Hahaha - this makes no sense IRL friends don't always equate to gaming friends...especially for those of us in our later 20s and older. To get 5 people to raid with means spending more time in the house - that doesn't mean I don't have RL friends... I found a way with ODST firefight, and I will find a way in Destiny.

        • I'm a very sociable person and have plenty of friends. Not one of them has a PS4. Your logic is flawed.

          • I can get out of the house and hang out with friends, but all the people that would do a raid with me are at home playing video games. Your logic fails!

          • Well the majority of us here are from lower teens to upper 20s no? Probably? So we already spend most of our waking moments in school! College students hopefully spend a large chunk of their time devoting it to school. The three - five hours spent on gaming is not that much compared to the time people spend on their studies and classes (hopefully). So really they do have a life outside of videogames the life of developing an education. Some people spend ours of time wasted on socializing (yes it is wasted time the, most successful people often times don't have time for friends), others spend it on videogames. The worst thing is that we all do need some physical activity and gamers don't get that.

Its not about how many friends you have outside of gaming you bellsniff, I've plenty of mates some PS some Xbox some none! Even if they all had the same console & game (which is a feat in itself) its hard for all of us to commit to play a raid for a few hours at once.

                • That's stupid.....just saying . I'm outside more than I'm inside and have plenty of REAL friends and cousins that I hang with on a regular basis since birth.. literally. Out of all my people only a few of us game and on top of that the ones that do are split between playing either the PS4 and Xone plus only one person on my PS4 friends list is buying Destiny besides me. I also only have 5 people on my PS4 friends list and 4 of them are real friends that I grew up with (that have different taste in games) not "internet buddies". It's dumb to assume if someone doesn't have enough friends playing the same game on his or her system that they need to get outside to make some cuz they don't have any. Not all friends share the same hobbies, just like not all of my friends like to go to the gym like I do. I'll admit though there is one hobby that all of my people love doing together and that's throwing Cookouts while throwing back some brews with some shots in between ,which I will be doing today with about 20-30 of us in the back yard shootin the shit tipsy as hell cracking jokes at each other and reminiscing about back in the day. Good day ahead!
