I am 38 and I have been playing video games longer than most of you have been alive. I see everyone telling their age which seems to be the early 20s for the most part. Most everyone I know does not playing video games, but I have not been this excited about a game since Halo 2 or KOTOR. Anyone else in the same boat?
Edit: I am amazed at all the responses. Thank you all. See all of you on the 9th. Xbox One: pepelewe

I'm 38, much to my mothers discomfort I was born with a controller already in hand, `i've owned a vast number of systems over the years, some I sold on, some gave up the ghost and were never replaced, some are even still packed away in dark dusty corners somewhere, but some I still have and I drag them out now and then to rekindle some half forgotten memories.

30, husband and father. Dude, we're all right with you! This game appeals to all walks of life, all ages. You won't be the only old guy calling it quits at midnight or earlier every night.
-
Damn I'm 20 and feel old. When I'm your age, I'll probably feel like shit :(
-

It really sneaks up on ya, but yeah, I'm pretty psyched. Firing up the beta, and getting in to combat the first time was like coming home. I'm ready for the full strength dose now.
-
You're only as old as you feel. I feel like I'm 16. I look in the mirror and realize...damn, I'm 40 already! Took all mirrors out of the house ;)
-
I'm 20 myself, I still remember playing Duke Nuke'em on Nintendo 64.
-
31 and I'm glad I'm not the only one who just refuses to 'grow up' when it comes to that part of my life. I have fond memories of the Amstrad and Commodore 64!

I'm 12 and I can't believe how young this post made me feel
-
24, married and feeling the same way. Also H2 and KoTOR are two of my favorite games ever. *high-five*

I'm 37, have a young family, but have remained an avid gamer my whole life. This will likely never change. I never feel older, just seem to accumulate more responsibility!
-
36 here. You're definitely not alone. :)
-
I'm 23 and already feel too old. People look at me weird for gaming and I'm like... Meh it's fun. Everybody has hobbies, what is the difference between golf and video games? Except games are way more fun
-
I'm 33. Just wait until we're in our 70's and still gaming. Gonna be a lot of geezer clans.
-
Well, as a 16 year old i find it great that older people will be on destiny, it'll encourage the in game community to be more mature and co-operative
-
I'm 15... Sorry

40, husband and father, been gaming since pong and atari 2600. My most anticipated game to date was The Last of Us and this easily tops it. Never been more hyped or excited for a game release.
-
it was 6 years ago that you got old, love a 20 year old, currently with a very warped perspective on age.
-
I'm 46. My first "gaming computer" was the old Texas Instruments TI-99-4 back in the early 1980s. Except for a brief hiatus for college, I've been gaming ever since. Don't sweat it. Some people lose touch with their "inner kid" as they get older. Usually in a joyless manner. We didn't lose touch with it. The last time I was this excited about the release of a game it was for Diablo 3 on PC back in 2012.

Shoot I'm 16, 17 next month, and a senior in high school but you guys are making me feel like a baby.
-
Wow, I'm turning 20 in a few weeks and I thought I was old...
-
Ill be 26 next month. First game I ever pre ordered, thats how excited I am for the game lol. Most of my friends & family don't play video games either. Wish my dad would sometimes. When I was younger & had a sega genesis, we played all the time. I miss it
