2 RepliesI did borrow this from someone but forgot his or her name, enjoy the read regardless because you sound like one of players who want everything nerfed they don't like or want players to play a certain way so this is really for you.: First, this information is rock solid. This is not a debate or question. Just stare at these facts and bask in the infinite glow that is my superior understanding of the universe. I only post this in hopes of enlightening the masses. It is written in the first person as a reminder of how awesome you are. Facts: 1: Any way I kill you is the most glorious and honorable of kills requiring skill of an otherworldly nature. 2: Any way you kill me is a cheap cowardly way to play the game and your family should be ashamed. 3: All of my characters are of the highest class and quality. You should be honored to die by my wrath. 4: All of your characters are cheap, easy to kill with and should cause your family some form of horrible disappointment in your skills. 5: My guns are hard to use and require skills that escape the common man. 6: Your guns are self aiming bullet sprayers that a half dead turtle could use to go 30-0. 7: My play style is clearly MENSA like in its formulation and execution. 8: Your play style is obviously the result of playing while half asleep or perhaps over medicated on daytime cold pills. 9: My chosen skill path is designed to add challenge and honor to my play style. The best of the best. 10: Your chosen skill path is a crutch that only mildly holds up your pathetic play style. End of facts...

I truly believe much like a liberal in politics you are blind to truth. Lol you watch Fox News
-
Supers could use a massive nerf. Or maybe a Barebones mode without supers and radar? But this is clearly a more casual game. Gold medals for everyone.

5 Replies"I truly believe much like a liberal in politics you are blind to truth." What sort of weird twat just throws crap in like that? :s I bet you're really intense in person and most people find you uncomfortable to be around.
-
I agree with what you're saying. Supers shouldn't be a no skill free kill. But your argument makes you sound like a dbag which is why more people disagree with you.
-
Although you can escape supers as the hunter, the hunter is the only class you can die while using your super
-
For fist of havoc, its a matter of staying our of their range backing/running to avoid the super's very limited range. They have to be very close or high above to actually hit you. As for nova bomb, it depends on their upgrades to it. Higher levels can split into 3 shots, or even track enemies. The safest way to avoid it would probably be to get to cover as fast as possible. You could also run away, or even towards the warlock if they are above you. and if they are right next to you, a quick melee plus shots beforehand should put them down mid-super, assuming you get the chance to shoot. If you want something to worry about, look at the bladedancer. a very easy quick-win super that can not only kill everyone near them with ease, but can run with increased speed and can RECHARGE their super with each kill. That is a panic button you should worry about more than the other 2.

As someone who was mostly a hunter, but played with the warlock and Titan as well in the Crucible, the Warlock and Titan can easily avoid the Super's, you just have to have skill and understand how to use the Warlock and Titan's jump ability correctly, something you obviously lack
-
3 RepliesYou know everyone gets "super abilities", right? Not just noobs. And you're a noob if you didn't get your fps skills from Goldeneye or Doom.
-
1 ReplyI've actually managed to avoid two fists of havoks during the beta with my hunter, mostly due to getting to cover, but still quickly died because I barely survived it.
-
It sounds like you've never played a game long enough to know what a "meta" is. The players that have spent the most time with this game (Bungie Employees) have all talked about countering supers. Seriously, dude. Quit jumping the gun, knee-jerkers! We haven't even played with blink yet! Deej has also said a shotgun can cancel a titan fist. Do I smell halo 2 sword/shotgun battles?
-
They're super abilities nerfing them kills the point
I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL BREAK THE DAMN B KEY ON MY PHONES KEYBOARD
-
Well let me just open up the beta and film… oh wait. Easy way to dodge supers, kill them first. Also, there were times where I ran under the titan and warlock and just barely got away from the blast radius. Not that you'll believe me without proof that I don't have and can't make.
-
Yeah, I've dodged with the Titan so... this thread is silly.
I still await gameplay of someone successfully intentionally dodging more than one super in a game. Preferably from a warlock or titan point of view, until then you have zero proof.
Oh please. 'Go get footage for a point a month after the Beta ended for this specific thing.' Get real. You're making the claim. Prove that it cannot be done. That's what the 'burden of proof' means. Many people are telling you it is possible and that it has been done. Thus if it is everybody else's word against just yours, and you're refusing to provide evidence for the claim YOU made, then by the very nature of an argument you are in the wrong.
-
Yeah, and the only time you "dodged" a Hunter's super is because he simply missed.
-
i have new gen.. am i butthurt?
-
6 RepliesRead the first bit and you are wrong. Shotgun to face stops a Titan ground pound as confirmed by Deej in the most recent interview with him. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean it's not possible.
-
Novas can easily be dodged. From what I've seen, even if there's no lag, Fists can't be dodged unless the guy misses. Unless Blink teleports you far enough to dodge it.
-
The way they balance insta kill abilities is to give them to everyone......
-
2 RepliesOnly way to dodge a super is to not put yourself in that position in the first place. Sometimes you need to use your brain. Quick reflexes and low ping wont always win your battles for you.
-
1 ReplyAt first I was agreeing with you
-
You said 90% of the time you were killed. What happened the other 10% of the time?
-
it's balanced because everyone can do it. Unbalanced would mean that some one would have an advantage
-
I dodged a titan and warlock super charge many times lol. I guess it's only possible if you have a good reaction time and if you know WHERE to jump.
-
You'll probably be able to dodge supers much easier when you upgrade your movement mode with your subclass or you also may be able to avoid a super with the Bladedancer or Voidwalkers "Blink" ability. For anyone who forgot or doesn't know, Blink is a short distance teleport which replaces the glide for the Voidwalker and the double jump for the Bladedancer.
-
I escaped one super it was a longer range nova bomb. I barely lived, but I was a warlock so I anticipated and jumped high.
