I was thinking about the Hunter's Bladedancer spec and i remember seeing the "Blink" talent being available to them. Which got me wondering, in RPG terms would the Hunter satisfy the rogue/mage hybrid niche? Same can be said about the Titan being a warrior/mage hybrid what with the space magic infused supers, what do you think guys?

Think of it this way. Titans are pure tanks and healer-esque (Defender giving shield boost and form of buffs). All while Hunters are in between Titan and Warlock. Suffice in doing more than enough damage in terms of abilities. Lastly, Warlock obtains the most powerful and dangerous as their abilities can be overlooked due to their weaker stats. With how we manage our abilities in each subclass, we can twist and bend to how we play them without an penalty like WoW has, where we are sort of forced to follow a set of abilities to effectively put out as much damage. In Destiny, most of our attacks is done by shooting and we rely on our three special attacks to only turn the tides of the fight, not to do any DPS. Merely to survive.

They are all hybrids since they all use a magic element.

Maybe a striker that flies through the air and smash's the ground and come out perfectly fine seems like magic? Just because there skills seem magical doesn't make them a Mage, And just because Bladedancer has blink doesn't make him magical either.

1 ReplyI'd say yes actually. And that's the exact hybrid I usually play in all RPGs.
