Does anyone else think that there should be some kind of visual indicator letting us know when the Warlock and Titan classes have there supers ready, besides the hard to distinguish one that already exists around the level box? What I mean is they should be glowing there respective supers color when it's ready, like the Hunter does whenever he/she activates there super and is able to use it.
This would help the game for two reasons, it would make PvP more competitive and not put anyone using the hunter class at a disadvantage because you can't tell when a Warlock and Titan super is ready and they are both instantaneous, and secondly this would help out teamwork and allow you to chain supers more easily in PvE because you would have a visual indicator letting you know your buddy is ready to go because I found that sometimes people tend to forget to tell the have a super ready or use them prematurely and everyone being able to see who is super charged would help let others on the battlefield plan there attacks.
Let me know if you think this is a bad idea or how you could better implement this because I know some of you found the hunters super OP in PvP but you've got to realize it actually took planning to use it successfully because it took time to load and you could be killed while it was active and everyone could see you glowing during the duration of the time that you were able to use your supers kill potential. Now this is not meant as a nerf towards either the Warlock or the Titan as there supers are designed to excel in medium and close quarters and I haven't decided as to which class I will play as my main character this suggestion I am thinking about is meant only to change how either class will strategize how they go about choosing to engage enemies. When I played as a Titan I found that I could just hold my super until I got ambushed and as the Warlock I would just wait until I saw a capture point was being taken and then fire a nova bomb in and kill everyone in and kill everyone. I loved playing as all of the classes because they catered toward your play style. But if you knew you were giving off a visual indicator then that would require you to play more into your respective role in PvP and in PvE it would be easier to coordinate chaining your supers because sometimes players don't have mics and having this indicator could just add to both experiences. Now there already exists a small glowing indicator on your level box, but, in a firefight it's hard to take the time to look and wait for that indicator around your teammates. Allowing a visual indicator on the avatar could just add to the coordination between teammates. For example in PvP if you saw a Warlock had his super ready you could support your teammate so he didn't get singles out or targeted because he could help your team and as an enemy you could allocate your targets in a firefight making the supers more of a strategy weapon then a quick kill tool. Now if this doesn't appeal to you please explain why.
P.S I cant wait for Destiny and if anyone wants to add me on Xbox One to make a fire team my GT is the same as my Bungie id.

2 RepliesAre you so worried about being owned by a titan or a warlock. Why not just give us warlocks and titans a big huge flag and a beacon flashing left and right letting u hunters know that we are coming your way??? I'd rather have that than glow, because some might say ' hey it is not glowy enough ' glow needs nerfing.!! Ohhhh no the glow is so bright that i got temporarily blind and so they killed me.' Really man... it takes a warlock or titan about 3 to 5 mins to gain their super on average. Give everyone a break
-
1 ReplyOr every time your super is charged, your guardian says "my body is ready" or "that makes me moist"
-
It's cool the way it is.
-
The fact that there is a visual cue that Hunter's special is active, is balanced by the fact that the Hunter's Super allows for long range usage.

1 ReplyThere is a lot of whining in these forums already about nerfing each class for whatever reason, put the time in and get better at the game rather than coming on here complaining
-
1 ReplyMaybe you should just go invisible as a hunter. That will balance everything :)
-
3 RepliesThere's a gold line around the name plate of someone with a super charged.
-
1 ReplyWhat if the Titan super also gave out nachos and cheese to everyone it hit?
-
How about
no...
-
8 RepliesIf you are skilled enough, you can kill all of them before they launch their supers. Even during them.
-
3 RepliesWarlocks jump into the air to launch their nova bomb so a well placed sniper headshot or a hunter with a golden gun can shoot them down. But man, when a Titan hits you with a fist of havoc, it literally comes out of nowhere!
-
1 Replyawww have a cry. You probably got your arse handed to you knew you played as the hunter. Another thing is that the hunter skill is duration based, warlock and titan supers are not duration based, they are instant supers. Don't like it then go complain elsewhere.
-
They do glow for the duration of their ability and that isn't long.
-
1 ReplyStop crying cuz you suck and get killed all day
-
5 RepliesThen the hunters would have to glow as well, they only pull out their pistol when they activated their super
-
And just to let you guys know I didn't actually intend for this to be taken as a nerfing post, I don't think this would actually hurt the Warlock or Titan class and I will stay play just as much with both of these classes even if this adjustment was put in. I intended to find out what you guys thought about this suggestion as a viable option to potentially add to the multiplayer experience.

Edited by Heisenberg: 8/21/2014 3:21:25 AMUm... There already is a gold aura around a player's level beside their name when their super is up. This applies to allies and enemies. /Thread

3 RepliesPvp is lame. As long as nothing changes with the pve have at whatever you want.
-
6 RepliesSo you're talking about removing the surprise don't get me wrong I hate being killed by supers but that would make them useless if both teams could see who had theirs ready.
-
1 ReplyThe point of Super is to turn the tide of the fight. And if we gave any indicator, then it would be pretty useless, though not utterly impossible to kill someone. If you gave someone the chance to at least get a few kills, its through Supers. You don't wanna be on the other side of the team getting dominated and not have a super every time. That is how I see the use of Supers in PvP.
-
They already have a visual indicator, you just have to pay attention.
-
There are visual indicators for all classes when a players super is charged, and there is an animation and sound that accompanies each super activation as well.
-
2 RepliesEveryone is an idiot. The reason the hunter glows while using their super is because they have 3 shots with a cool down timer. So after the first shot you have a few seconds to find your next target. So the glow just means that the hunter super is currently active. Whereas the Titan and Warlock supers are a one time use ability. There is no reason for a glow. Once either class start to use the ability it's pretty well recognized as a super. The movement and the character model change drastically when used. It would be pointless for either of those classes to glow, because they would glow for about a second and be done. Your thread is stupid. Stop being a baby and get better at the game. Then you won't need a dumb ass glow.
