I seriously doubt all life is gone. They have to be eating something, and I SERIOUSLY doubt they all went Vegan. They have to have some form of meat to keep the guardians firing on all cylinders.

Agriculture, bro. We don't live on wild game now, I'm sure cows are still around. Or replicators, like Star Trek.

True. But sometimes people want some wild game. Besides you can't raise good steaks in the city limits. Unless certain sectors of the City are set up for proper agriculture. I was raised on a farm so, I wager you need to have some open space for Cattle and the like. But also would enjoy some monstrous animals coming through in events.

You really think that in this setting what people WANT plays a big factor? WANTING the Darkness to leave isn't going to make it so. The Guardians are the only ones capable of leaving the safety of the City, and they're too busy hunting the Fallen and other enemies to bag a Caribou. I just don't see game animals as being a relevant or viable addition.
