So first off i do have a high pain tolerance but seeing as i've never got a tattoo it may be different then some of things i've had happen to me. Any ways what id like to know is what parts are the worse of getting a tattoo on your chest?
Picture is the tattoo i want.

I have tattoos on my foot, wrists, chest, ribs, hip, back of my neck, behind my ear, under my arm, and on the side of my leg. The one on my chest was a cakewalk compared to my ribs. It will be a little uncomfortable if it goes up near your collarbone but it's nothing intolerable. Just make sure to eat before you go and let your artist know if you need a break. Most artists are ok with taking a break - mine would go smoke with me lol.

3 RepliesAcross the chest is a bit painful but nothing you cant handle if you got pain tolerance. The neck/behind ears hurts cuz the gun vibration feels like your skull is rattling lol. Along your ribs will be painful as well as foot. Upper back/shoulder blade wouldn't be too bad. I have several tats and one on chest..if i can handle it, so can you. Lol i also happen to love the tat choice and colors.

I've heard the side of the ribs and ankle are the worst.

3 RepliesThis will not impress the ladies, it's nice art but not so sure it's a good tattoo.

Bones are the worst. So your rib cage would suck.

1 ReplySternum sucks.

4 RepliesPlease don't get that tattoo. I'm trying to help you.

2 RepliesNeat picture. Does it, y'know, mean anything special? Or are you just getting it cos it looks cool?

That's a pretty cool piece. I know plenty of people who have gotten chest pieces male and female. It supposedly does hurt quote a bit but it can't be unbearable.

Sternum and ribs.

1 ReplyDon't get a tattoo

2 RepliesWhy the hell would you want a picture of a rabbit on your chest..

1 ReplySpeaking from experience, right around the nips and just under your collar-bone are gonna hurt like -blam!-. If you're getting that in the center of your chest........you might want to bite something when they get to your sternum.

1 ReplyA picture of you tearing a baby deer or calf apart?

2 RepliesEdited by Aegis: 8/19/2014 5:53:00 AMI'm gonna get this on my right shoulder in a couple months with a sea serpent's/Jörmungandr's tail wrapping around it then spiraling down my arm. Edit: basically this, but with a dragon.

2 RepliesMy brother does tattoos, so he let me feel what getting a tattoo feels like. He just ran the needle in/over my skin like he would if he was actually giving me a tattoo. It didn't hurt that bad, and the only place it did was my fingers.

1 ReplyEdited by Big Brit: 8/19/2014 5:04:15 AMOk, so it depends on the person and where on your chest you get it. Certain people can go in and get a tattoo in a place known to hurt like living hell and come out wondering why people complained. It depends on your bones, how thick you are, and how much muscle you have. If you're extremely skinny (like me) it'll hurt like hell because it'll be closer to your bone, having a lot of muscle also makes the tattoo hurt more because, well, it's muscle. If you want a general tattoo chart the link above shows on average what it's like (pass out seems extreme though). Also, nice picture, and as OMY said, if it's something you want then go for it, pain is temporary, tattoo is permanent, just make sure you go to a good tattoo artist, check him out first, his workplace, the work he's done, etc.

My ankle didn't hurt at all, my wrists hurt like a son of a gun, and my sternum....well if you've ever slammed your hand in a door and then all you could do was laugh because it hurt so bad...let's just say I laughed the whole time. It was fun though, I'd do it again...

1 ReplyYour chest has thick skin and lots of muscle tissue. It'll hurt less than an area like your ribcage, spine, neck, etc. But tattoo pain isn't about the actual pain as much as the persistent presence of it. Even the worst jab from a tat needle will hardly feel like anything at first. But after two+ hours of it.. some people begin to have enough.

9 RepliesAll tattoos are painful, some hurt more than others. Pain tolerance plays a huge factor, it's gonna hurt but how long can you zone out and focus elsewhere?
-
7 RepliesIf you really want it then it shouldn't matter! I've heard chest is painful, but there are much more painful areas to get a tattoo. Pain is just part of the process.

Edited by Athhena: 8/19/2014 5:11:30 AMThe sternum was the most painful imo and anything really fleshy. (I have a chest piece and it definitely was not fun)

2 RepliesIt'll hurt like hell.
