i felt bad, but i wasn't willing to compromise my ideals just to keep idiots happy
and no one seemed to mind anyway, but i still have never felt so awkward and buzzkilling

178 RepliesOne too many times. Can't tolerate it for very long, although being one of the few sober people there, you'll pick up on all the stupid things people say and do more. It can be pretty damn hilarious.

Can't hold alcohol well. Tried whiskey, several beers, tequila mixed with soda, and a bunch of other shit but I can't drink a cup/bottle completely.

I don't go to parties, but if I did then I certainly would be. This thread is quite funny/strange/depressing because literally all of the arguments (About drinking, not the adhominem/cognitive bias stuff) brought up against you are ones that I have had to waste my time with, time and time again. I don't like people drinking around me, but I don't make a fuss out of it. What I do object to is people getting pissed out of their brains, that really hacks me off.

I am that guy at every party with alcohol. I don't drink. It isn't because of some moral high ground; I simply hate the taste of alcohol. I have tried every drink offered to me but they all taste nasty. The only alcoholic beverage I have ever finished was a Mike's Hard Lemonade...and I choked it down, trying to be social. Many people have made it their life's endeavor to get me drunk. These people are living disappointed lives currently. While I might be Captain Buzzkill (or even General Buzzkill), I am a great guy to have around as no one needs to worry about who the designated driver will be. :-)
