I hate how it's casual vs. competitive (hardcore) players in the forums..
Shouldn't we be helping each other to make a game that we all love to be better?
How can private matches hurt or spoil the fun for casual gamers?
Edit: well at least we ALL agree, that private matches won't hurt anyone by adding it to the game. Thank you for the posts, I have a bigger understanding for both sides.

A lot of MLG players have a history of being entitled, self-important, neck-beardy snobs that have no respect for the artistic vision of developers and think they know whats best for everyone that plays the game. They whine and gripe until games are nerfed to oblivion and watered down to a shell of what they once were. Casuals like to play good games and have fun, and get irritated when pro players start acting like Gods and taking the fun aspect out of the game.
