One of the best defenses against the interceptor was Supers. Turrets even help. It's only an advantage early game - and even that is only to a slight degree as long as you have a team that understands the interceptor. I think after a few months almost everyone in Destiny will understand PvP components, and interceptors will become a non-issue.
