Bungie Site vs Facebook vs Grownup Site

BLUF: I'm hoping to have a discussion about designating one source to be an 'official' site, while the others might serve as supporting sites that add enhancements and additional functionality to our clan. DETAILS: I think it's great that we have multiple resources for the clan and I'm in no way, shape or form implying that I think we should limit ourselves to one single source, but my concern is this: What (and who) am I missing out on with 3 different places to go for news, updates, forums and clan related activities. This will be especially important once the game comes out, when we are looking for Fire Team members or to coordinate Strikes/Raids, etc. If most people are using the Facebook page, or the Grownups website, vice [the Bungie site] or whatever it ends up being, I think it would be a good idea to make it known now, rather than risk splitting up the clan and potentially creating communication rifts that we aren't even aware of. I guess this is really directed at Lioncore and xxHoBoZxx, but I think it's important that everyone weighs in. I'm really curious to hear what everyone's opinion on this is and to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of each medium. Note: I've been checking this site and the Grownups site, but I haven't touched the FaceBook (FB) page as I don't have a FB account. I have no issues if FB ends up being the end--all, but I'm just hoping to figure this stuff out before the game releases, so I'm ready from Day 1. Also, there's the community aspect of it this- I don't want me, or anyone else missing out on stuff because we aren't checking the right site(s).

 • Ok, here is the deal with the 3 sites; Bungie's site is where we can join the groups and clans. The forums are ok to keep in touch on news and other stuff. But you have to admit the site is crappy. Facebook group is a great place to get to know the members and keep up with current events. And to post whatever you would like. The Grownups website is going to be a collection of all the information that will be useful to the clan and it will serve as a central hub for organizing Raid, Strikes, PVP or PVE. The site has a very useful Events calendar and it will be a lot easier to go there and post or join up with groups for the game type you want to play. Instead of trolling through a lot of posts here or on FB to find that someone wants to play PVP on a certain day and time. The only site that is mandatory to join is this Bungie site , as it is the place you have to join the groups/clans. The other 2 sites are up to you to join or not. All the site will be kept up to date with all the information as humanly possible. Reyak27 has done a great job on the website and you should check it out if you want to. Lioncore and I are there to help him maintain the site information and give input to the members who may have questions or whatever. Kurtimos Prime is doing an excellent job on the 2nd group as admin and helps out great on all the clan stuff. So in conclusion, I can see a benefit of all 3 sites and urge all of you to join all 3 sites. I understand that some of you may not want to and that is fine. All 3 sites have their own niche in our group and we are going to try and make all of them work the best we can. If you have any feedback on this comment, please post it. This is your clan also and your input is of great value to us.
