Necessity is the mother of invention, not whining. Whining actually seldom solves anything. The number one technological innovation source is actually war. Second to that, money/utility.

I think I won't have my 60 year old father buy it for me (though he probably could given that he's a COO of a major corporation). I'll probably just buy it myself. And I see where you're coming from, but still vehemently disagree. I've never participated in a demonstration or protest of any kind. I've never seen a hurt healed at a protest. I'm from Trinidad. Criticism is not the same as whining. And neither is the same as bug testing. The purpose of the Alpha and Beta was server load, bug detection, and data acquisition. Not so people could complain about map size.

Since noone is whinig (well except some fanboys about the critics) .. and just pointing out that the map size didnt fit the announcements from bungie, you will probably be very happy.. and Ofc Alpha and Beta is ALSO for the marketing department to react to response times , complaints and overall game experience feeling of the community... Any company that would not take this oppportunity to get a first feedback on how the community likes or dislikes the product would be a complete failliure in the market. just for the Records: opening threads about "missing Cat ears" = whining opening threads about "they should have gay mariage here" = whining stating that someone likes 3rd person more = opinion stating that someone likes more space in the city = opinion stating that for "exploration" there are way too many guradiand running around and the respawn time for enemies gives more the look and feel of a busy weekendmarket than any "explorable" area.. = opinion and moves slightly to valid point if someone takes the word "exploration" literally.. stating that the size of the map doesnt fit the description the company gave in the beginning: = valid point and justified criticism.. So LUCKY, almost noone is whining just valid points and like Blizzard did with Diablo (they did a shitload of new balancing after quite some complaints.. )Bungie would do good if they take som of the stuff serious, or..also mentioned this: they will end up with Destiny like Titanfall, and Brink and Hellgate London.. and and and.. and just admit: that would be bad, wouldnt it ?

Thanks for the lesson on facts vs opinions lol. My original post indicated that even if their results don't match their original intentions, griping about it won't change it, so I don't see the point. I didn't say it wasn't a valid criticism, just that it's useless. EDIT: The above post came across to me like a 5-year old whining. Maybe it's just a difference in definition.
