I'm really embarrassed to be a part of this community, more like #Destiny. Don't get me wrong, I love Destiny! But Bungie needs to do something about all of the trolls, whiners, and pointless threads. Anybody else feel this way?
Edit: It would also be nice to stop fighting over nothing, but that's clearly never going to happen... Just look at this thread alone.
Edit 2: Most of you are proving my point, and thank you too the people not trying to offend or upset me. But some of you have made a few good points, like me whining, yes, I admit I'm whining. But something needs too be done about it. Now some of you are saying that there's a mute button for a reason, but it says comment hidden, then I get the compulsion (I think I spelled that right) to click on it. And one of you said that it would be rude for Bungie to not allow people to post things even if they are offensive, now I agree on that except for the part about offensive posts. I'm pretty sure you know why.
Edit 3: You all are saying that apparently we are much better than the 343, CoD, and Battlefield forums. It would be nice too see some examples.

you are going to have all of that regardless of where you go to. It is part of the FORUM LIFE lol. Dont like it dont use them and the problem for you would be solved. And yes it is just that easy.
-
Or you could just ignore a lot of the crap on here For instance i know destiny is going to be an amazing game I'm not going to change my mind over the opinion of some child 3000 miles away saying its going to be crap
-
At least it's not 343 forums. If you have any criticism of Halo 4, they ban you for a week. The mods there are unbelievable
Bungie needs to do something about all of the trolls, whiners, and pointless threads.
Ohh the irony.

Could be worse. Much worse. We could be CoD's community.

yes, you're right, this forum is full of heretics and the weak. It must be purged

I don't think Bungie's forums are any less polluted than any other game or franchise forums, or ANY forum on ANY subject for that matter. This forum just represents a microcosm of the Internet community as a whole (not a "hole" or a "whore" you filthy buggers). Sadly human ugliness and malice is found everywhere, and the Internet gives these sad and pathetic people a place to be themselves. Don't give in to them. Personally, I'm a very positive person, who always tries to look for the good in people and I give everyone a chance at proving themselves. As my mother taught me, I never reply negatively to any post, no matter how much it may anger or upset me. It's not worth it. That offensive post is not worth it. I just move onto the next thread and chalk up their negativity to something missing in their lives; loneliness, insecurity, being bullied or ostracized, or any number of sad and/or depressing reasons. Some people just have sad lives, and need an outlet for their anger or frustration. Wow, this went on longer than I first imagined. I apologize. I must have been holding this in for some time. At any rate, ignore the negative posts and support the positive ones. You're not alone. And to those negative posters, you're not alone either, and I hope that you eventually find a reason to be happy and change your ways. Life is too short to always be negative and unhappy. Enjoy it while you can. And if you're idea of "fun" is being negative, you're just proving my point. But it's not too late for you. Good luck to you all. And come 9/9, good hunting!

The ninjas be 'lax these days... I'm on your side though. For what its worth, my Exploring the Exo post was damn near devoid of trolling or idiocy. Don't lose hope Guardian, the community CAN be a pleasant one, perhaps you just haven't seen it yet. I do think that saying someone else should do something is a little lame though on your part. I like to think that simply being mature and good natured on these forums makes them better, and that as I gain the respect of other members, perhaps they will follow that example and gradually change the community for the better. The more people who do this, the faster that could happen.
Then again, I'm a pretty naive guy
I just gave up, It zaps too much energy to care about every troll. Too tired to even call them trolls, They are pure ugly thralls in disguise we must try to eradicate~
-
Aside from a few bad apples, I think this place is great.

Welcome to my world...

The moderators will probably actually start doing their job once the game releases. Heck, even DeeJ trolled some guy by renaming his thread something like "I've never played this game before", it was hilarious.
-
I need something to do while i wait for the game, so I enjoy being critical of the critics
-
I used to hate trolls. Now I love them (at least in this community) after seeing how much people rage at such obvious troll posts.
-
Complain a little more I am sure someone will care.
-
Drown yourself in icecream.
-
im with u. its so annoying...all the trolling and shit talk. try your best to ignore it and not respond. you can always chat with me:) i love games in general and love talkin games. ignore the fools:D
-
In the end though, what can bungie really do? They'd have to pay people to monitor the forums. It's just not something I'd dump money into if I were them.
-
You're ok, I don't not like you.
-
whatever, sure its annoying but i'm fine with it as long as it stops after the game releases, then i only want proper Destiny confersation
-
I agree. There's way too much witless ranting - I hope with the game's release and initial weeks of on-line play, more substantive exchanges emerge. There is so much useful information and insight in the community, it would be a pity to see it all bolloxed up by a few knuckle draggers.
