can we just get a CLEAR answer on this from the devs i swear ppl avoid serious questions like the plague around here.
ALL i wanna kno is if Destiny will be my clans game come Sept or will we have to look elsewhere for competition. Is the potential of this game gonna be wasted like so many others?

Clan v. Clan is needed. Farming mindless noob takes the fun from pvp. Without private matches, I may as well cancel the preorder.

Only 7% of the players give a shit about pvp. Why would Bungie put so much work in that aspect of the game?

Where do you get your numbers, MGT? Because I absolutely guarantee that it's a lot more than 7%. The type of success and longevity that Bungie and Activision want for the Destiny franchise can't be achieved by focusing on PvE alone. Just take a look at Star Wars: The Old Republic, previously the most expensive game ever made... Story story story, but not enough work put into their end game and PvP, and the game flopped. And yes, that's a valid comparison. Not valid enough for you? Let's look at the most successful gaming franchise ever - Call of Duty. Story? What story? It's a shooter on rails, and the only reason it still does so well is because of the competitive multiplayer.

Theres a poll made in a forum in the page. COD was successful not anymore everyone got tired of it. You said yourself Star wars died out because of the lack of end game content. The focus of Destiny is co-op PvE and is great. If the focus become PvP it will become just another FPS and will die out really quick.

No, I said end game and PvP, which for a lot of people becomes part of the end game. And for others it is part of their day to day game experience. And both instances will apply to Destiny as well. Look at all the DOTA-spinoff tournaments. Hell, The International was broadcast on ESPN 2. You cannot say that PvE is all that matters when there is overwhelming evidence that PvP is hugely popular as well. And yes, while everyone says they are getting tired of COD (myself included) it still generates insane amounts of profit, and behind Destiny is still the most preordered franchise of all time. Now what I absolutely am not trying to say is that PvE does not matter. I'm simply saying that it is beneficial for a game's long term success to concentrate on all aspects of the game, not just the Raids and Missions leading up to them.

I'd also like to know. I personally don't care about what game modes they have in it or what ever they add to the PvE aspect of the game. I wanna know more about private matches. Will we see them? Is it something that Bungie has added in the final game or are they adding it later on? Major reason I am asking this is for this. In a pub match is a bunch of randoms vs a clan, 7 out of 10 times that clan is going to wipe the floor vs the randoms and later you'll see players on the forums crying about it. Having private matches would be a fix right away with this. Good clans don't wanna play bad players. Good clans wanna play good clans. Private matches are a must!

IDGAF! seriously though, just sick of games without decent clan support. I mean back in a younger time, this was a must to be in FPS games. Now it like slap a name on the game, throw in some maps and sell millions. Don't give the players what they want thought.
