Dark Souls
I'm thinking of downloading it off of the Xbox marketplace, but I'm still on the fence about it. I know it's an open-world rpg, it's very hard, and it's apparently awesome. If there's anything you guys can tell me about the game and what you think about it, it would be greatly appreciated

1 ReplyEdited by HurtfulTurkey: 8/13/2014 3:32:16 PMThere's no reason to not play Dark Souls. Once you learn the mechanics it's a cakewalk. You'll struggle with the easiest skeletons at the beginning, and by the end you'll be strolling past giant axe-wielding knights. Go pyro.

4 RepliesGigantic monsters to kill, extremely well-polished environment, actually challenging to play, great lore to piece together to create your own story, and the gameplay is something other than hack and slash until the opponent is dead. By the way, if you do decide to download it...be wary of the graveyard after you reach Firelink for the first time. It'll make sense if you make the same mistake I think most people did when they first got the game.

Damn, less than two months ago it was free for games with gold. You should have tried it then. Would have saved a few bucks.

'Git gud' is not said just because. I won't spoil it, but I love the lore (you have to dig for it), the world is great, and I just love the game in general. I would wholly recommend you get it.

Probably one of the most fun games I have ever played: it is so fun and awesome. Definitely dl it. The people who say it is stupid are the people with no will to over come the difficult you must have a strong will to beat this game.

2 RepliesIt's punishing, clunky, and unforgiving. Playing with friends though is pretty fun, yet it has some pretty stupid mechanics that are there seemingly to make everything more difficult even if it doesn't have to do with gameplay. All in all its great after you get used to everything and i recommend it.
