PSA: Don't take Sept 9th off...
The servers will crash and you will spend the entire day groping your game case and most likely doing inappropriate things to it since you won't be able to play the game.

But losing a day of school, or even worse a whole day's pay for a video game? Makes no sense to me. The game isn't going anywhere. Unless you're using PTO in the case of the working people, take your slacker asses to school and work and play the game when you get home. (That's a joke, BTW. Lighten the f*ck up, internet) And for any other ignorant morons who come up with the idea that I'm trying to tell you what to do with your time, I'm not. I'm saying the idea of losing a day of pay or school for someone who DOESN'T have the proper means to do so makes no sense to me. If it doesn't apply to you, why bother speaking on it, eh? Probably. I'll do that tho. Cause I'm stupid and naive and games like Diablo 3 and GTA Online still haven't crushed my hopes entirely that one day those people will learn and put up a stable and smoothly running server system for release dates.

I'll be trying to log in at midnight just like everyone else. I just won't be surprised or upset when it doesn't go perfectly.

7 RepliesI work an overnight shift for a fiber-optic company that most of your networks run over, and I will be working that night. That being said, our company, and most of our competitors, will be anticipating this launch and will be working our tails off to at least make sure that your connection to Bungie's servers doesn't go down. While I can't speak for Bungie (though I honestly shouldn't have to, as awesome as they are), rest your little head knowing that some of us adults will be working our tails off to make sure your midnight launch goes off a smooth as possible. You're welcome.

I took off the 9th through the 17th. I should get a decent amount of game time in. If it does crash I guess I could alway hang out with my wife and kids. I really tried to type that without laughing...
