No but...
Some one posted this awhile ago and I totally agree.
Have a major event once or twice a year when the hive attack a weak point in the wall. A special scenario where we have advanced notice to prep for it and log in at a specific time.
A defend the breach style event whilst someone repairs the wall or brings the defences back on line.
Have an emblem for participating in the defence of the city.

These are great ideas and more can be done with even the simplest forms of each. I would love to have actual server based competitions i.e. East U.S, West U.S things like that. Maybe even a public raid requiring whole servers to beat.

This is a great idea :D but I think once or twice a month would be more ideal.

I was thinking on a massive scale originally. Since the game has come out maybe a 16 man fireteam holding a position. Have the global event victory decided on then number of teams that complete the challenge, have nightfall rule in effect, once the team is out they are locked out of the event.
