ok so at the beginning the preschoolers made the hoomins and the forth runner. then a bunch of shit happnd and the necromorphs came to kill and the forth runner was like not if i kill you first and then the whole galaxy was kill. then the forth runner sealed himself in the ball in his super secret base. ok then everything was like irl until the future where the hoomins went to space and found the alierns. the alierns were liked blrga blrga blrga and all hope was lost until dr cathrine josef mengele halsey kidnapped some kids to create the call of duty ghosts and there fewrless leader john cheif. so jon and his ghosts slowed down the alierns until they reached the planet reacharound where they lost because the alierns used their most evil weapons: bloom, armour lock and paradiso ok so then after running away from reacharound they found a gaint ring in space called mass effect. after fiting the alierns there the necromorphs came back and steven merchany enlists your help to use the book borrowe in the libary. after that john chief blows up titanfall he flies back to earth where he fights the more alierns. then he goes to titanfall 2 because the alierns ran away to there, he goes of to the church to kill the profit of pimps and then he helps a nice japaneese man make some videos for the internet. then john chief escapes mass effect 3 in pursuit of the profit of memes ok so now ere at halo 3 and nothing happends for a while and then they go to space where steven merchant dissovers that EA and Resprawn entertainment is making the DLC map packs for Titanfall. John owns a PS4 so it was his overriding duty to destory resprawn and ea and titanfall when steven merchant reveals that soylent green is people and then chief gets lost in the marathon universe. oh yeah and theres this alien guy and halo 4 breakes canoe so it doesn't count. humans also would of won war if the alierns didnt use there large numbers to veto br starts forcing everyone to play ar starts

Halo's story starts before the universe began. After the universe is formed, a race of aliens known as the Precursors who possibly originated from another universe begin creating life. They travel to the Milky Way galaxy and begin filling it with intelligent life. They create humans, Forerunners and many other species. At some point in time, the Precursors begin looking for a species that is capable of wielding the Mantle. At around 10,000,000 BCE they determine the Forerunners aren't worthy. The Forerunners, afraid of being extinguished for having no purpose, rise up and strike down the Precursors, forcing some to flee to other galaxies, while the majority of the survivors travel to the Large Magellanic Cloud. The Forerunners follow them to finish the job. While they had killed the majority, a few that survived the onslaught put themselves in suspended animation while the other survivors render themselves into a dust that can regenerate the past forms they held (intelligent, dumb, sapient energy, etc.). However, as 10 million years pass, time renders the dust defective. Through unknown means, the dust is loaded up onto star ships and sent back to the Milky Way where it begins to manifest itself on Pheru, a pet favored by humanity and the Prophets. The dust begins to change the Pheru, which then jumps to humans and Prophets, beginning the Flood. Humanity (a space fairing civilization) begins to sterilize all worlds the Flood touches. This leads to war between the Forerunners and humans. A war which ravages both civilizations for 1,000 years. Forerunner society is corrupted, the Builder rate is fueled by the greed from the war. Humanity is utterly defeated. Their civilization dismantled and their bodies devolved. They are placed on their birthworld of Earth under the care of a Forerunner by the name of the Librarian. Eventually, the Flood, which had retreated, returns. But by that time, the Forerunners had prepared a weapon of unimaginable destruction: Halo. A last resort if they are incapable of defeating them. The Forerunners are overrun. The few surviving Forerunners realize they have failed, and leave the galaxy after firing the Halos. The Librarian, who had studied humanity for thousands of years realize they are an adequate successor to the Mantle that the Forerunners had failed to uphold. Humanity is given access to Forerunner technology they come across, to make sure they have the ability to rise up to efficiently wield the Mantle. Time passes buy and we reach the 2500s. Humanity is again an interstellar civilization,but is being wrought with insurrection. However by 2525, they encounter an alien civilization called the Covenant. The Covenant believe humanity to be an affront to their gods, the Forerunners, and begin a war extinction. Utterly destroying human worlds they come across. By 2552, humanity has lost all of its major worlds. The only one left is Earth, a closely guarded secret. Eventually a ship fleeing the destruction of one of humanity's core world discovers a Halo ring. Then we reach Halo CE. The MCC covers Halo CE - Halo 4, so I won't go there. I've left out as many spoilers as possible. This is an extremely broad and generalized summary of a story that spans 10,000,000 years. If you want something clarified, I will gladly go into spoiler territory for you. =)
