shooting on a sparrow
I think it would be cool to be able to pull out a pistol or your auto rifle while on a sparrow and be able to shoot, similar to the way you shoot while on a bike or while in a car in gta,

Bungie has already stated the Sparrow is going to be non combat. Plus, how would you would shoot and drive that fast at the same time? Your Guardian has more health than your sparrow.

Since the hand cannon is an issue with many people in that it doesn't excel in any category, it could be allowed to use it while on a Sparrow. That'd be cool. It would be hard to aim while riding fast, but if you stood still, the Sparrow is pretty fragile and just a few enemy shots will take it down, so it wouldn't be game changing in my opinion. Imagine riding your Sparrow fast and nailing a cool headshot on an enemy... That'd be an instant -"Xbox, record that!" from me. :)

1 ReplyNah, Bungie said they just want sparrows to quickly get you to the action so you can jump off and use your abilities and guns to fight. I like it as is. Also think some future missions you can steal Fallen Pikes and possibly other vehicles that have guns. I stole a pike on the moon mission and it filled my gun/vehicle killing fix.

I would have loved for my Sparrow to have guns like the pike, or ghost from Halo, but after playing the beta and driving it all the way through buildings I could see how it would trivialize some PvE/story mission encounters.

4 Repliescheck out their commentaries, they want you out of the vehicle. that's why they didn't add guns to the sparrow either, later on in other planets and moons you'll have the ability to jack a pike and use that.

Pistol? That sounds fine, not over powered or anything, but a little while after I started playing I SWEAR this guy had a gun aimed at me on his sparrow and he was shooting at me before he got off with either a pistol or a semi auto rifle, idk how he did it

Spawning with a vehicle you can shoot from? I believe that's spelled O and P.

I want my sparrow to have a nova bomb. Then I want my sparrow to automatically lock on to targets and launch said nova bomb so I can be a lazy coward that spends 90% of my time on my sparrow only jumping off to collect orbs of light from the enemies my nova bomb kills so I can recharge my sparrows nova bomb and keep flying around stealing people's kills and camping on my sparrow.
