Finally someone who gets it. I think it's ironic that people are saying that everyone who wants raids to not have a match making feature are selfish. The game has something for everyone, raids are the only thing tailored to the hardcore crowd and people want to ruin the one thing we have by adding a match making system to it. The rest of the game is tailored to casual/competitive players, so who's being selfish here? For the people that still can't understand that concept it'd be the same as PvP players getting Bungie to make all explore and mission areas an open battlefield like DayZ because they feel they don't have enough maps to play on. I can understand that people want better in game communication and I feel like a proximity chat would be a good option, if someone is being annoying you mute them end of story, but to complain about it being too hard to put together a raiding team without one? Come on people, stop being so pathetically lazy. You have BNet and XBL/PSN at your disposal, two completely viable and easy to use systems. Too hard to find people who would want to raid? Strikes are basically the little brothers of raids, play a few missions, find solid players, and shoot them a message inquiring about whether or not they'd want to raid with you. Is that really so -blam!-ing hard or are you guys just that -blam!-ing lazy?
same as PvP players getting Bungie to make all explore and mission areas an open battlefield like DayZ
but this is different. SO WHAT if the normal crowd tries their hand at this. They will NOT affect you. I'm pretty sure the anger at bungie not allowing matchmaking in raids is more than how people would feel if raids were too hard. The thing is, why not let them try? DON'T lower the difficulty DON'T give in to people who claim it's too hard but WHY NOT give them a CHANCE to prove themselves/yourself right? Why can't they just use the same system for strikes on raids? They created it, so why can't raids be just a super hard strike under a different name? This is almost the same as how you couldn't customise base player traits in halo 4. Why take stuff out of one part of the game when you evidently already made it? (the ability to customise base player traits was present in forge mode) Let them try. Let them die. What harm could come from that?

 • well, it's like [lanning a military Op, it takes time and planning to Organize, I intend on using the Forum to organize, myself. I already have an Alliance lined up with a couple of small clans to hopefully have enough players for a few fire teams, that way we can all get in there and destroy the baddies.

 • Right on, it's so easy to make friends in games if you just try. Like you said, join some strikes, you'll do plenty as you level throughout the game, and friend request the players who are good, or that you get along with. Why is that a hard concept for people? There's enough matchmaking in this game, you'll find new players really easy. If anything this forces a sense of community, no longer can you just get 5 strangers to do the hardest content with, you need to form some friendships to gain access. Stop being anti social and make some friends, if you can't do that you need therapy, not matchmaking.
