You can keep your raids... just don't make it so the only way to get exotics is through raids. Not all of us can find 5 people to play with. (And no, joining a guild or finding 5 friends is going to cut it for every individual who buys this game)

Not to be rude, but why is finding 5 friends to play with so hard and game ruining for some people? The game is a "MMO" and I use that term lightly, but it draws enough from the MMO world that it shares many similarities. One of them is that it's a community style game, being a loner is fine, you can do that if you want, but the game shouldn't have to cater to your needs because for some reason you don't want to make friends. It's not that hard, I made a friend who I've ended up playing quite a few games of Crucible with in the beta by playing a strike with matchmaking. I had prior to running into him beat everyone's score in every strike mission I did, then I got beat by him, so I said hey, this guys good. Sent a friend request, no words spoken or said prior to that and BAM! like magic I have another friend whose now a part of my clan.

You can talk to people in a mmo in destiny you can only talk to your fire team.

Except that its not an MMO.... Its so heavily instanced that it is its own breed, and it doesn't have the holy trifecta found in all MMOs, so it is its own breed really. Call it what it is, and thats what bungie calls it, a shared world shooter. Some people just like playing lone wolf.
