Firstly, matchmaking and nerfing are not causaly connected. Saying the first leads to the second is like saying tomorrow it will rain, because you just farted. No proof, no truth. Secondly, I will occasionally use matchmaking, if it is implemented. At other times I will raid with a premade group of friends. One doesn't exclude/interfere with the other and both have their merits and problems both pre-game as well as in-game. Lastly, stop projecting your own fears onto Destiny. Whatever happened in whatever other game, happened in that other game. We will see if it will happen here, but until it does saying it will is pure speculation, don't pose it as the truth. Edit: "you" and "your" apply to all who feel addressed.

  • Your first point is null. Put something you have 0 chance of beating in MM doable by MM is safest way to build an endless hord of brainless whiners asking for nerf. You want it put on MM even if chance of succes are 0%?

  • What part of no proof, no truth, don't you understand? I guess statistics and probability aren't your strong suit, neither applying the scientific method. And crying nerf is in no way something exclusive to any type of player, saying otherwise is ignoring the history you all seem so intend on, there is no causality between matchmaking and nerfing, no matter how hard you voice the contrary.

  • 16h of fail for a raid by a pro fps player for me it's a good enough prove that a random MM party has 0% chance of success to end a raid. Truth proved what now? What's the meaning if putting impossible to end content in MM? It's plain stupid Are you asking for a stupid thing? Ps: if raids are actually doable in MM raids will suck hard and the PvE side of the game will die. So once taken care of one option i can talk specifically of other option. If this game is not a PvE failure it will have content that keeps d6 edicated player challenged for months. Those are raids and content that keep 6 dedicated player challenger more than 1 day are impossibile in MM

  • No point in keeping up this discussion since you are incapable of differentiating speculation and fact and are clueless regarding statistics and the scientific method. You are entitled to your opinions, but they are no more than that. Have a nice day. Have fun playing Destiny, I know I will.

  • lol you are shockingly dense case a, raids are doable in MM: In my opinion this game PvE will die out and it's useless to invest time in this, bye bye destiny for me and failure for bungie's plan of 10 years long world. No content able to challenge pro players means they get bored and go either PvP or quit. BUT: 16h was not enough for a pro team (abnormal skills and coordination) to beat a raid. You think you can do it with your random group? They must have picked worst pro players ever case b: The fight REQUIRE TRAIN and you have 0 chance of defeating it with random and non trained players: in this case it's just stupid to put MM if you can't beat in MM What's so hard to grasp? Yes, it' easier to go on like this instead of debate http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_kKIqOfrIT4/UywQCcnHngI/AAAAAAAAIpA/v136SFTRxUI/s400/tumblr_inline_mywo7kw03p1svtt3q.gif

  • yet one of us bring motivation the other one just "must bring facts or you can't talk about that" and http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_kKIqOfrIT4/UywQCcnHngI/AAAAAAAAIpA/v136SFTRxUI/s400/tumblr_inline_mywo7kw03p1svtt3q.gif

  • The fact you bring your motivation as if it is fact, while any logical thinking person recognizes it as pure speculation, throw around random percentages without providing proof and or sources and your complete unwillingness to even attempt to discuss their validity is why this discussion is unilaterally ended.

The FACT is that a pro team coudn't beat a raid in 16h. This is nothing about speculation. Nothing about theorizing. This is simple FACT. You'll at least recognize that this is a fact so we can start from here?

  • Sir the law of probability state that eventualy a diffrent outcome will happen. In other words, eventauly a team that was put together by matchmaking will sucesses, then others will fallow and eventualy the % of success by matchmaking will go up.

  • No hope to finish it. You need all players experience with all mechanics of the fight and able to play with each other. Matchmaking will be ppl that try this randomly. 0% chance of beating it (ok tecnically 0,000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% or something like this if you are experienced). One player can make you wipe, enrage timers, things to do everyone must know. It's a new thing for fps but it's a fight you need to learn, not just killing waves of enemies with more hp and dmg (that could be beatable in MM unless stupidly unfair)

  • It doesn't matter, it'd be so low that like he said, too many people that shouldn't be in there attempting the content would cry nerf nerf nerf. I guess either way people will always blam! but I rather them not ruin the integrity of the content to appease people, just to have them blam! anyways.

  • Whether or not it's a fear of what matchmaking would bring or not doesn't take away from what I'm basing my opinion off of. I know what matchmaking does to content based on experience and not just one, but countless games who have used it prior to this game. We aren't talking about untreaded territory here, we're talking about stuff seen in many previous games. It'd be foolish to ignore the past like that.

  • No it's foolish to bring it in, self fulfilling prophesies are self fulfilling. Besides, you can name games and I probably played them and didn't experience what you experienced, making for a highly subjective and speculative discussion which would serve no purpose whatsoever and have no extrapolation value. We don't have all the facts, one fact we do have already though, all the games you could name aren't Destiny.

  • *golfclap* You sir are a master of debate, you said pretty much nothing that whole time while somehow making the illusion that you made a point. Of course it's all speculation, or course those games aren't Destiny, that doesn't take Captian Obvious to point out. Learning from history is a great way to not repeat previous games mistakes. Maybe a few people like you enjoyed the matchmaking system for end game content, but as you can see, many others are on my side and agree it cheapens the experience. Adding a matchmaking system is like games with huge maps adding instant teleportation systems. They becomes such a great way of saving time that it's hard for anyone to resist using them. So short of a few that refuse to use them everyone ends up teleporting everywhere and the world seems small, and too closely connected, you lose a sense of where things are in relation to each other because you never travel from point to point manually. Of course I know that a teleportation system isn't the same as a matchmaking system, but I'm trying to make a comparison here. The matchmaking system will end up saving so many people time that people who may have tried their hand at forming groups and friendships to do said content wouldn't have the same need to. It'd be a less personal experience, and less meaningful to many.

  • If you cant control yourselves from using matchmaking then that is your problem not ours so not i dont take a way from anything, people who really want to go to a forum and find 5 people can still do it and people that want to matchmake should still be able to do it as well. The only reason why people talk so big and say " pleas dont put matchmaking in the game is because there is not going to be a matchmaking system yet. But the moment matchmaking was abelable then people would stop crying and use it, why because is there.
