First, Bungie won't back down, so this thread is pointless. Second, I feel your arguments are biased because of your lifestyle, and are ignorant to others. Third, it was recently announced, not something that has been known for a long time, known after people invested a significant amount of time into the alpha and betas, and dropped $60-$150 for a copy. People have the right to be pissed, but they still have a choice to keep their copy or cancel their pre-order.

  • Your opinion is biased too bro. So what if other players can't make the time or patience to raid? Why should THEY destroy MY content? First comes matchmaking Then comes an onslaught of "raids too OP" Then eventually Bungie nerfs raids Bungie said there is something to do for everyone, including hardcore players! Raids are the ONLY content catered to hardcore players like me. The rest of the entire came is casual-semi hard. So tell me why THEY get to destroy MY content.

  • First, I hope your right and it is pointless, I'd like to see them stick to their guns. Second, most all opinions are biased, including your own that your making right now, so what's your point? Third, this is true, it was announced late, but how does this effect anyones time invested playing the alpha or beta? People played the game because they enjoyed it more than likely. Adding a barrier to the hardest content, once again a moderately easy barrier to break isn't game breaking. There's still plenty of content left to be enjoyed whenever people get a chance to play. If people have an issue with that, as always, everyone has the option of relinquishing their pre-order as you said. Hopefully players don't feel so strongly about something so trivial though, when the game as a whole is still so amazing. How are players who can't find the time to make 5 other friends or get a group of 6 people together to play for a few hours going to do anything in raiding? They said it themselves, the content will take a good sit down of 4-6 to make progress, if it takes that long for coordinated players to make progress, 6 randoms will get nowhere. They also don't want this to be content everyone can just jump into whenever they want, it's appeal is high, and that'd make other content less appealing if it was so easy. If they did that lots of other great content would likely become under utilized.

  • My point is: I would like to see match making for raids, but I understand that it would not be in my best interest in playing it that way as well. I understand Bungie's stance on it, so I am not fighting for match making personally. If this was going to effect me directly, then it would be biased, but I cannot see a random team raid working very well, if at all, therefore I will be finding at least 3 other friends to make a team of 6 for these. Others want to give it a shot, I don't see a problem. What Bungie should do is allow match making, but not compromise the integrity of the actual raids. Give people the choice, and allow them to figure it out for themselves. Raids are not trivial either. Exclusive content for PS systems, that is trivial, the Vault of Glass has been labeled the "end game." It has been known for a while to be the hardest challenge. But nothing was known about mandatory parties with friends until recently. That was my point in a sense, I will get this game regardless of the raid issue. I have taken steps so that I can do a raid, and have tried to help others who feel they cannot. But, this is a bigger issue to some than others, and like I said earlier, they may have more difficulty trying to organize a party. Overall, Bungie is not going to budge, and it is pointless to be arguing against those who don't like the policy, because all it is doing is pissing more people off. Let people bitch about it like its not going to do any good.
