Different Versions of Exotic Weapons?
Hey guys, do you think there will be different versions of one Exotic Weapons? For an example, instead of Red Death being a pulse rifle, a different version would be an auto rifle? Thanks.

1 ReplyAn example of this would be kind of like Borderlands 2. The legendary gear sometimes had different elements and attributes so each weapon was unique. It seems though Destiny wants to have a story behind each weapon. 1 gun, 1 story, more lore to suck you into the game.

1 ReplyDon't think there will be different versions as far as what type of weapon it is, but.. I know for a fact legendary items can be found with different skills. I ended up with 3 Timur's lash hand cannons, each with different skills. I'm sure there will be a preferred version of them all. Would be a solid guess to say this also effects exotics as well.

Not that way. Although it is very real to potentially get exotic or legendary gear (not bought, only as random rewards) that have different upgrades than one another, as well as their purchasable counterpart (for hitting rank 3 you get a random crucible/vanguard weapon, these had different buffs for me).

I am not sure, most of the things iv seen on exotic weapons, which isnt much(pretty much only whats on DestinyDB and like one or two pics of stuff people got from cryptarch), it looks like they are what they are and if you dont like the one you get maybe the other one is for you, which would suck because you just spent currency on an expensive piece of gear.

That's like saying a sniper exotic could also be a shorty. Even if you got a Red Death with a full auto upgrade like some pulse rifles have its not true full auto.

I don't see why not, depends on if the exotic weapons are unique or not though. I'm hoping for something like borderland's legendary weapons.
