What about Eric Nylund? The halo books were some of the best scifi novels ive ever read. Also Orson Scott Card.
I don't want Rothfuss to work on anything but the door of stone... the only thing I've been waiting for as eagerly as Destiny.

Yes Lol I said the same thing. Dude there isn't even much action in Patrick's books, but i still -blam!-ing love them.

Total agree Ruthfuss should finish the door of stone first. But I would put Michael A. Stackpole on the short list. His works with Star Wars and Battletech shows he knows sci-fi. And he knows how to develop multiple characters at once which would be an important aspect of the Destiny universe.
