Destiny in the US costs $60 (£35)
Destiny in the UK costs £45 ($75)
Ok, so shipping raises costs, inflation, blah blah blah, no problem, this seems fair, if a little inflated.
Destiny dlc in the US costs $35 (£20)
Destiny dlc in the UK costs....£35 ($58)
*prices shown are for both dlc's. On their own they will cost £20/$20 each.

I understand possible difference for hard copies, but dlc will be digital, so why the price difference? Not buying currency conversion by the way, before it's mentioned.
Thanks to Gavel for the link by the way, you are my "Keeper of the codex" :)

Edited by Bridger: 8/3/2014 10:21:09 PMIs that for one piece of dlc?

It's €80 in Ireland for the game. It "was" €230 but now "reduced" to €210 for Ghost edition! It's €130 for LE. I think the fairest price comparison option is the Digital Edition which includes DLC for €100 from PS Store.

Edited by Ephidel: 8/3/2014 10:39:43 PMIf you're getting your Destiny pricing from ShopTo, don't worry. I dropped them a message about that "problem" a few minutes ago. It's £40 on amazon.co.uk, and ShopTo won't like being beaten on price. It'll come down, and if you preorder the £45 version, they'll automatically charge you the lowest price at release, so even if the price dropped to £40 for just 2 minutes, you'll only pay £40 at release. If ShopTo are getting greedy though, you can guarantee they'll lose sales.

New systems are not region locked so why not just buy it from the US if it bothers you. Unless your still on last gen which would explain the complaint about the price of the game which happens to be the same price as every other new game. If games had been increasing in price along with inflation youd be paying alot more, probably in the $80-$100 range.

Tax. Plain and simple. All games for EU markets are made in the EU. For example, Microsoft has a publishing facility in Ireland, which is where most Microsoft Studios titles in the UK are put on-disc. It's just because of VAT and other nonsense that we pay more.
