Not saying that Destiny is bad, in fact, it's actually an alright game. But with MCC coming out, the Halo players will buy their Xbox ones, if they haven't already, and then, by the year later that Halo 5 gets released, Destiny will have lost much of its players.
People loved Halo 2 & 3. MCC will hold both of those games.

1 ReplyRegardless of the affect that Halo has on the Destiny Community, Bungie already has your money. Destiny won't be hurt at all, in fact when the Halo players leave if the choose to do so, It will allow the real destiny players room to kick ass.

Edited by heisenburg6969: 8/26/2014 11:26:35 PMHalo is old news that's why the new one comes with all the games 343 knows that this new halo game is going to be the last. its obvious that halo 5 is to pull as much money as they can from the franchise before its obsolete destiny is already surpassed halo in many ways
-
4 RepliesI'm getting both but Halo is and always will be better then Destiny especially since Destiny's multiplayer was terrible.
-
I have a ps4 but I'm trying to get a Xbox One before the collection comes out (even though I own them all) I want that Halo 5 Beta
-
Only games that are good on PS4 are L.O.U and Destiny so Destiny will do amazing on PS4. Wont judge Halo 5 till its out.
-
3 RepliesI will buy an Xbox One if, and only if, the MCC is good post launch. I'm not interested in reviews about it, I just want to know if it actually works in the real world. How will matchmaking look after a few weeks? Will it die like Halo 4 did? I got caught by buying Halo 4 on launch day blindly, I'm not going to do that again any time soon. And if I did buy an Xbox One for MCC? Well I'd also buy it for Destiny too.

Yes but people love the original halo, the original creators, the game and the story. Destiny offers everything you need... Except splotscreen
-
Soooo bored of halo. Wish they'd finally kill the franchise to start up new games with new concepts. I won't even notice it pass me by this time around. I'll be playing destiny instead.

1 ReplyEdited by Kellan: 8/26/2014 3:25:26 PMYeah all halo players will love halo 5 because they loved halo 4 last year right??
-
3 RepliesI will be buying MCC just for the nostalgia. It won't pull me away from Destiny as my primary game. It'll just be a casual distraction when I want to relive some of my memories. That, and it'll be good to have them on one console.
-
Edited by Recolektion: 8/26/2014 4:04:05 PMNot really. I'll be enjoying them both. This is the first generation Xbox is going in without Bungie, but they made a smart move keeping Halo alive. This will be 343s real first attempt to really do something different with halo. Halo 4 gave them many limitations to work wih for the 360. And now that they have extra power to work with, it should be a worthy attempt.
we already know Destinys going to be fun.
2 RepliesI'm only getting the MCC because of the remastered Halo 2. And even though it'll look shiny and sexy, I've still played Halo 2 a billion times. No interest in Halo 4 or 5. 343 completely shat on my face with that
-
2 RepliesI'm incredibly excited for MCC. Unless 5 goes back to its roots, I will happily end with MCC.
-
4 RepliesTrue. I will be pretty much done with Destiny when the MCC comes out. The MCC has way more content than Destiny. Spartan Ops alone was more content than the Destiny Beta, and that Beta was like 30% of the game.
-
I'm definitely going to take the time to play lots of MCC but I will likely stick to destiny until the full release of Halo 5. Doubtful destiny will stack up against a full next gen game once that release happens.
-
Halo has gone down the toilet ever since 343i took over the series. The MCC is a fresh coat of paint on top of code written by Bungie several years ago. Also, Halo, being an Xbox exclusive, will have exactly zero effect on the significant portion of the community that's on PlayStation.
-
Halo might wound Destiny, but as we all know, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
-
Halo will hurt Destiny in the same manner that it will hurt every other game on the XBOX coming out in the same timeframe - for a little bit. That's simply what brand-defining titles do.
-
Lol I don't think just because people get the MCC people will just stop playing destiny to go play halo. Numbers might go down a little but your acting like half the community if not more would be leaving which I HIGHLY doubt.
-
1 ReplyYou do know the gamers playing the beta were nearly 3 to 1 Sony players! You meant to say x-box players may be hurt, but Halo/Destiny is still Bungie so its a win-win! Happy cabbage hunting!!

This makes me moist beyond moist.
