Not saying that Destiny is bad, in fact, it's actually an alright game. But with MCC coming out, the Halo players will buy their Xbox ones, if they haven't already, and then, by the year later that Halo 5 gets released, Destiny will have lost much of its players.
People loved Halo 2 & 3. MCC will hold both of those games.

Even though MCC will be a good game. I think it will be big within the current Xbox community. Rehashes usually aren't worth buying another system for. At most MCC with effect Destiny on the Xbox One, but it won't be the game draws people from everywhere to play it.

Meh not to worried

8 RepliesHalo will hurt itself. Well, it did. And it continues. Not only does Microsoft fail to realize or ignore the fact that gamers don't always have half a grand laying around, making it an exclusive to the console everyone hates doesn't help either (from what I hear). On top of that, they aren't making Halo interesting enough to make most Halo fans feel like they are playing Halo. Many of the fans moved on not because of Bungie, but the fact the Halo isn't Halo anymore. I may be wrong. They may have improved. Still not buying an Xbox One though.

13 RepliesI am a Halo player that switched to PS4. It is enticing to pick up a Xbone just for MCC, but Destiny is the new Halo. Destiny is Bungie and Halo 5 is not and neither are the new reimagined maps. Halo might dent Destiny but I have always felt like Destiny could kill Halo and the Xbone with it.

10 RepliesLets just get some facts straight. Halo 1-3 and Destiny were made by the same developer. The only difference between the MCC and Halo 1-3 is that Halo 1 and 2 have received graphical updates. Same game, just prettier. Halo 3 is unchanged. You're buying the bundle of old games that have been refreshed. Destiny is a brand new IP that offers a brand new experience and is the biggest game bungie has ever made. Both will sell millions of copies. However, with one you're getting old games that have been refreshed, and the other you're getting a brand new experience from the same people who made the former. People are getting MCC for two reasons. To admire Halo 2's new graphics, and to do all the stuff they've already done. Halo MCC will be great, but Destiny will be much, much greater.

It already has... I'm talking about people who think Destiny is Destiny: Halo Redux.
-
I doubt you can make that assumption until all games have been released. I love Halo as much as the next person but making a claim like that is pointless. Only time will tell.
-
17 RepliesLol right after they are done with the story they have no reason to play. The multiplayer will not come close to the custom characters in Destiny.
-
Except on ps4.

13 RepliesHalo won't make a dent. And mcc won't do very well. Halo was awesome but it's 15 years old and nobody cares about it anymore, it's played out, it's old, it's tired, it's dead. The nostalgia people will get it but 343 & the halo franchise are over.
-
You forget who made Halo 1 2 3 and all of the people who are loyal to Bungi.
-
Dude the thing is I'm not doing that at all instead of remastered I just wait for wait for it.... Use my old consoles with that game on it. Now you will say well you can't play it with you friends wrong the original xbox can be used at least for system linking if not for online.
not getting the remastered games
-
I'm not that excited about MCC. The remastered Halo 2 would be cool though. That was my favorite in the series.

29 RepliesDo you kids have nothing better to do with your time, than troll the destiny section, lmao... No one cares. Do you realize bungie had more people playing in the 2 hour window that the moon mission was up, than they have ever had on at one time for any of the halo games? Now, move along.

1 ReplyGood thing MCC isn't on PS4
-
I disagree. Im sure people will play Halo when it comes out, and I am going to be getting an X1 at some point just for the MCC, but that wont take away from how much time I put into Destiny. Remember, taking a pause from a game to do something else isnt bad and it doesnt mean the person abandoned the other game. It just keeps you from getting burned out. I plan on getting DA: Inquisition when it comes out, and I will play it and spend many 10's if not 100's of hours on it. But when its completed I will be right back to playing Destiny again. And again, thats all depending on how the game holds up at launch. I mean yes I have much higher hopes for this then most other games, but we must always keep in mind the potential to end up with another Defiance. It wont matter how good the game is if nothing works at launch...

5 RepliesWhy can't I play both? :\
-
5 RepliesPeople loved all the Halo's in MCC. Halo CE: Campaign H2: Multiplayer H3 Multiplayer H4: Campaign
-
7 RepliesEdited by Il Marco II: 8/26/2014 5:08:34 PMAgree. And I'm sorry but… Halo PVP > Destiny PVP Destiny PVE > Halo PVE PVP > PVE Halo > Destiny I will be pretty much done with Destiny when the MCC comes out. ✌️
-
Mr. Downey Jr. You don't know that.

1 ReplyHow will halo "hurt" destiny when halo master chief ce and halo 5 are only on the xbox one... Destiny is on 4 consoles at launch.
-
Nope. Destiny FTW
-
No I'm good lol
-
How is a console exclusive that is dated and lacking the popularity it once had going to hinder a fresh, multiplatform IP? That just doesn't make sense.
-
Destiny till Halo arrives

1 ReplyRegardless of the affect that Halo has on the Destiny Community, Bungie already has your money. Destiny won't be hurt at all, in fact when the Halo players leave if the choose to do so, It will allow the real destiny players room to kick ass.
