Well, part of the beauty of Destiny is that you supposedly will never outlevel the monsters.
So while I might rush ahead to get nice gear and bragging rights, I will always have the option of going back to old areas and explore them in depth, without feeling like a Terminator let loose in a petting zoo

I don't think enemies level with you in Destiny

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure I saw them demonstrate exotic weapons in Old Russia. Also there was something about how the higher level weapons might not actual hit harder, the low levels just lacked the attack rating to damage high level monsters

He was using a debug unit and had "cheats" enabled so we can't really use that video as proof of anything. In alpha and beta though lvl 2 enemies where always lvl 2 no matter what level you were when you returned hence the belief that enemies do not scale with you

True, but low level doesnt have to mean that they are not a threat, unlike say Wow where you would be a god on earth among low level monsters. I dont know of course, we have limited info. But I think the world of Destiny is too small to provide enough endgame content if we cant revisit the old parts of the world and still be challenged

Maybe but they also have the high level areas within the starting area cause I doubt all of the blocked off areas and lvl 20 enemies were just for the beta to limit you but I guess it is possible
