4 RepliesBump. Thanks for clearing that up

5 RepliesThank you for sharing this, MANIAC 745. Do you guys think Bungie will move the max-lvl up, as they give out expasions? just like World of Warcraft

Ty :)

1 ReplyVery helpful. Bungie should change the wording though.

1 ReplyWhere are they getting these approximations for damages?

1 ReplyYou can level up trough motes of light. You will still remain level20 as charackter level (ON your FIRST CLASS) But your overall Level will increases trough motes of light purchased levels ( ON SUB CLASS). We saw a level29 Titan. Who had 9 Levels in Sub Class. So guesses are. Theres 40 levels to go to "customize" but only 20 Levels of Loot. Means higher tier enemys will get alod harder with the time. As wepaons dont scale up ^^. And TDK will get pulled in the length. Maybe we can have more then one sub class or a second level sub class later on? Who knows. Atm just info taken whats there. Motes of Light= Leveling/ Cosmetics/ Stuff.

7 RepliesThis video mulls over numbers regarding Light, as well as the other innate stats that armor grants. Figured it was relevant to this conversation.

7 RepliesOff topic question: is it true you can only have one piece of exotic armor and only one exotic weapon equipped at a time... or can you go full exotic????
-
4 RepliesEdited by ChadPook: 8/2/2014 12:45:09 PMTo clear up some misunderstanding caused by this, mote of lights are a currency for the speaker only. As far as I've seen and on database sights you can only buy cosmetic items like cloaks and emblems that are exotic/legendary. No gear. Gear with light stat can be bought from the Agent of the Nine with Strange Coins, Vanguard and Crucible vendors with van/cru marks. Also, get them from drops and engrams bought from Agent of the Nine with glass shards. So mote of lights are just a gift kinda currency for continuing to play the game through lvling.

Thanks great examples I get the distinctions now. ;)

Most useful post I've read

Already knew this. Thought it should have been common knowledge so I am surprised many people didn't know.

1 ReplyTHANK YOU!!! this should solve the 20 lvl cap issue with some people
-
This was a very insightful and well desired post. Thank you OP.

1 ReplyThank you very much for this post. It is really nice to read some constructive posts sometimes, the whining gets annoying. You deserve 2 cookies for this!

Will items with light stat have random drops as well.

Edited by Sintemaza: 8/2/2014 5:57:47 AMThank you! Will definitely be useful upon full release. Though I have one question for anyone who can answer.. So like, lets pretend 5 light points on a armour piece grants you 1+ level. Would you be level 21 when wearing this piece of armour? The guy in the picture was wearing armour that granted him a bunch of light, but he remained at 20. Unless it just shows up that way.. But please do inform me of, well, yknow. Edit- I saw the red circle around the OTHER level indicator, I looked at the one on the left, damn me, my bad!

9 RepliesEdited by SaferMurderweapon: 8/2/2014 1:59:33 AMWatch there be a cap on how much XP you can earn per day, per week, etc. Edit: Thank you BTW.

The damage calculation info is interesting. Something I didn't know. Thanks for posting.

Nicely done. Great post

9 RepliesEdited by xL3G3NDx189: 8/1/2014 3:02:22 PMNow if I could get some info on how subclasses work I would be happy. I thought you would be able to level your sub classes and swap them out as needed like weapons. But then I read a reddit post suggesting you could lock in for a bonus but it prevents you from using another subclass.

some solid info here, thx.
-
This is some real good info. I was wondering about this myself.
-
Thanks for the thread! Glad to know
-
An intelligent thread? At first I was weary.... but now.... I'm impressed :)

1 ReplyGlad this got figured out. I knew about motes of lights, but not light levels. But I am curious if there are level requirements for the armor themselves since they are what provide the means of being higher level.
