I feel that there is a wide variety in primary weapons but what about special and heavy? There is only a few choices in the special category but even fewer in the heavy weapon slot.
I think bungie could add a flamethrower special weapon that would be good in close combat.
Maybe a grenade launcher would be a good suggestion for a heavy weapon. Not as powerful as rocket launcher but stronger than the LMG.
What do you think? More variety in weapons or perfect as is? Let me know your thoughts and any suggestions you may have!!

Flamethrowers and miniguns for heavy and for specials i would go with adding another long range with crossbows. Which would lead to one more subclass for each class.

I think they should have more of the midevil wepons but where you can upgrade the wepons and have them avaliable for all slots but the wepons that need the most strength and the most skilled player should be in the heavy wepons slot but otherwise I think depending on the class will depend if you can put enchantments on your wepons or if you need someone to do it for free or you have to pay but also have it where you can trade for a better wepon with someone else through the bank area andhave it where you can increase your guys speed to help if someone likes to fight hand to hand or with a melee wepon instead of guns because i am like that and i think its a little unfair if i am better at close range and or far range and yet im getting killed over and over at a medium range area because there are wepons better for close medium and far but you ussualy dont see one for all three so if you can have faster running speed to where you can have close range wepon be used more and same with medium range to but have the people who have a far range be at a spot that you can use a close to a medium range wepon can get access to but where the far range can have their range and good enough protection from the back

Snipers were originally Heavy Weapons and Hand Cannons were originally Special Weapons. So it was originally a more even spread of (EDIT:) 3-3-3, as opposed to the current 4-3-2. I think more weapons are always a welcome addition. However that takes a lot of dev-time to build. I wouldn't be surprised if new weapon categories came out in a patch or a sequel. I do think we need to wait for the final game though as a lot of the exotic weapons seem to have a lot of modifiers that change the way they are used.

The weapon system is just stupid imo I'd rather have the gears of war style, pick your primary and secondary and you always have a hand cannon side arm.

A heavy shot gun single shot with 6 shells like a flack cannon no ads just two modes of fire, shrapnel mode an a arch cannon ball fire mode depending on button press. Primary plasma weapon with two modes of fire, steady stream of energy or full auto . Stream heals shields an powers up shots of team mate or does low constant damage to target an locks till range or line of sight is lost. Special I like the Grenada launcher idea with proxy mines

I wish they would add like a type of bow, like a futuristic compound bow. some with void damage and incidiary, it could be a special or a sniper class.

Give it a long range scope (with the option of an incredibly long range scope) give it a mild charge time, slightly longer than the average fusion rifle. And give it a tremendously powerful round, think a rocket launcher, with no splash, but a high precision shot multiplier, and give it REDICULOUS levels of over penetration. and don't make it super inaccurate if unscope (so allow people to use it in close range) and give it VERY limited ammo, in terms of total ammo, give it as much as the rocket launcher.(so like 4-6 shots without buffs) in terms of penetration, i'm talking about Burt Gummer's LAR Grizzly Big Boar.

I would love to see something like the plasma pistol from halo where you can take out an enemy shield or disable a vehicle with a charged shot. Other than that, it would just be awesome to be able to pick up and use enemy weapons, the fallen had some cool lasers and grenade launchers in the beta.

I posted a few ideas a few days back in another post about this. 1. Grenade Launcher 2. Remote Explosives 3. Light Powered Cannon (something akin to Halo's Spartan Laser) I also love the flamethrower idea.

Proximity Mine Launcher -- Special -- fires small proximity-triggered mines that stick to any surface. Moderate damage, but mines can be stacked near each other for boosted damage. Flechette Rifle -- Special -- sort of like a heavy Scout Rifle that fires large metal spikes. High impact (two-headshot kill), and inflicts a DoT bleeding effect. Mortar -- Heavy -- holding the aim button pulls you out to 3rd person and locks you in place. Distance is displayed next to the targeting reticle. The shell splits into three bomblets before impact. Basically the Gears of War Mortar without the charge-up.
