Ummm...you guys. I think everyone apparently looked this over in the article.
“Unlike a bunch of the other activities in Destiny, where you begin the activity – like let's say you pick the level-22 Strike playlist – everything in that activity is going to be level 22. It's going to be consistent. If you're level 26, you're going to have some relationship to it. You're going to be more powerful than that activity. In a raid, when the raid begins at level 25, it's not where it ends. Like part of going the raid is the journey of gearing up; building your arsenal to react to the situations that it's going to ask you to go through.”
it says if you're level 26 IF YOU'RE LEVEL 26

Your character stops leveling at level 20 then has their level increased by the light rating on your items. IGN just put out a video of a lvl 29 Titan, but you'll notice lvl 29 is written in gold, and when he accesses his inventory it says lvl 20. This basically means once you have higher end equipment you'll be the equivalent of lvl 26 and start doing harder content.

OOOH! Nice, thanks for the info man

Im pretty sure from the data-mined info from the beta that nightfall missions are a strike playlist. I dont know if they are separate strikes in themselves or just the same as regular strikes with modifiers and better bonuses
-
Soooo? The strike itself is lvl 26? or your character is lvl 26?
-
Im assuming that the strike itself is 26, though whether or not you are level 26 would make it harder or easier
-
Both. Character leveling is not capped at 20. It just changes. Interesting to me, is the fact that he said that some of the nightfall missions will start at one level but end at the highest level.

Very true. I'm so very pumped for this game. can't wait.
