I'm pretty sure the only reason he was called a Beater in the show was because he cheated and went to higher floors than anyone else in the Beta.
I'm almost positive none of you passed your level cap and went to different planets so don't flatter yourselves.

No.. the Beater is the one who conquered the game during the beta. The one who learned most of its secrets before its official release to the point where you can be considered a cheater for having such a high advantage over other players. I went to the moon... not exactly another planet but Venus Counts. I also opened several gold chests on the moon and found several events and special areas with special drops. I found rare emblems on the moon from chests and obtained a Legendary Status Cloak. I found items I wasn't high enough to use, I explored the moon for as long as it was open. I found a few Ghosts on the moon, and.... my grimoire score almost made it to 800. It was 795. Did you see any higher?

he never actually cheated. he said he did to get people to focus their anger on HIM and not the other beta testers, since the beta testers were being treated like scum even though they could be helpful to the game as a whole

Hmm, makes sense then. None the less I dislike the term when it's not in context of the show. I'd like to keep Destiny and SAO separate.

Well yeah, that's my opinion lol I also personally think SAO's kinda overrated, and was ruined once they went into the other arc's.
