Lone Wolves is the Hardest Playlist to Get a 50
Some people might already know this.
Go online and pick any ranked playlist. Then hit X, and a chart will show up. It has a bar chart of all the people that play that playlist and their rank.
Practically no one has a 50 in lone wolf, and from lvl 45-50 is a very very small percentage.
Team Doubles is the easiest playlist to get a 50. Getting a 47 in team doubles is not that hard either, based on the graph.

No, the reason that you do not see many 50s is because, once you get a 50 why continue? Its different in Doubles and Slayer, in LW most people stop when they get 50s. AND THAT GRAPH ONLY SHOWS PLAYERS ONLINE AND SEARCHING THAT PLAYLIST.

I don't know about harcore/objective and them because I don't play them nearly as much. My highest skill is a 46 is LW, and I haven't had too much trouble, but it's frustrating to get 4th every couple games and go down. I just win and lose over a few times then get a few lucky games that I win (usually 3+ Slayer BR's at Construct), and that'll put me up to the next level.

[/quote] I'd say hardcore, objective, and tactical are all pretty hard to get high in because no one plays them. But hardcore has the most played and requires the most team work so it is definitely the hardest to get up in. Lone Wolves Is really not that hard, especially if you know how to play it.

The hardest playlist to get a 50 in is Objective.Slayer,Lone wolves,tactical are all bout shooting and killing.Anything bomb and flag is by far the hardest cause it's the only playlist where an all round player can excel in.Anybody can point and shoot.I love getting people who play nothing but slayer games into an objective game,they are just terrible at it and it really shows them that aren't this great halo player they thought they were.

eh I'm a 45 in LW. not that hard, but for me its the most frustrating piece of crap ever...yet i still find myself playing it sometimes. I keep losing in Doubles though, man i went from a 46 to 44, soon to be 43 the way I'm going. i can't seem to get a good enough partner...I need someone thats awesome so i can rank up. i want a 50 bad...i only need 3 more levels in Team Slayer but i rarely play..don't want to risk losing. by the way, if someone wants to partner up for doubles, add me. Link me to the specific game you are talking about. I looked through the 4th places, and none that I saw moved your rank up. I did find this game. If Lone Wolves was easy to get a 50 and keep it then there would be more people playing with their 50's. Other playlists have a much larger percentage of 50's that actually play the playlist.

I got to a Lvl 45 in LW just last week. and im only a 44 in TS and a 40 in TD..... LW is easy to me....

gahh im a lvl 42 in lone wolves, just seeing that chart makes me wanna rank up in doubles i already have enough exp for a general to, and i dont like getting grade rankups

Since TrueSkill is supposed to form a bell curve, the more people that are playing a gametype makes it tougher to be in the top percentile.

Well I was a 40. Then I player two games of Lone Wolves, won them both and now I'm 42. I'm not having any problems with it :D Tho I can't seem to rank up in Team Slayer. I'm more, or less stuck on 31.

Oh snap, I feel so unique! It just so happens my 45 is in Lone Wolves and took me literally 86 games to get it from 1-45 in 13.2 hours. Lone Wolves is the easiest in my opinion. Steal kills, clean up, camp. Thats how I play Lone Wolves and that why I usually win. I'm not trying to get my 50 in that yet because I want to get to 45 in Team Slayer then Doubles then Hardcore 1st. Then I will proceed to hit 50 in Lone Wolves and etc. I'm going to have to check the bar graph tomorrow . . . [Edited on 01.20.2008 10:59 PM PST]

Well no! it wasn't easier back then, its easier now! Because I have got my friend a 50 in it also how would you know this, you are not a 50 you didn't even past 44 so how would you know, it was very hard. But I have skills and it takes skills to get ranks. also how can you type its not hard, because of the graphs? you haven't even reached that high. Some people play more double team then lone wolves maybe thats why people are high level in it, have you though of that.

As I posted earlier, the system is not mean't for people to quit playing a playlist. The bottom line is there is a problem with the # of players playing Lone Wolf. The TrueSkill ranking system is meant to have a certain bell curve (seen here [url]http://research.microsoft.com/mlp/apg/trueskill.aspx[/url] ). The bar chart on xbox live shows that there is too steep of a drop off in the # of players from level 44 to 45 and lvl 50 is basically non existant. The ranking system is meant for people to keep playing it. People that get to a certain level and quit for whatever reason it may be, ruins the way the TrueSkill system works. None of the things people have been saying hold up for me. I am 45 in LW, 40 in TS. I have played way more TS games, and I just leveled up LW recently, in which I got to 45 quite easily, and got the final "win" to get to 45 in a game with lvl 42-45s in which I came in 3rd, with a mix of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes before that. I have found the average skill just on unscientific observation to be highest in hardcore, medium in team slayer and lowest in lone wolves. I still don't have all the achievements though, freaking double laser.
