My last two minutes were completely spectacular. Everyone in the tower just sat on the railing overlooking the Traveler and the Last City. It was one of the coolest things I have ever encountered in a game and made everything feel... real. It was beautiful the way the community came together to wait for the inevitable shut down. No one dancing; everyone just gazing, watching, and reflecting on their own Beta experiences. Honestly, I have never felt more attached to a community in my entire life. I love you guys!
See you star side Guardians

I played the Beta. It was a long time ago. I still remember my last moments. I was sitting down in the Scrapyard of the Cosmodrome. My favorite area. I looked over the dead and abandoned planes along with the scurrying Fallen. Then... Moments into the future, the servers had finally gave their breaths. Months later... I see Dinklebot's warm welcoming... "You've been dead for a long time"

Oh man this takes me back. Level cap set to 8, sigh we were so innocent.
-
Bump for the good old days.
-
Beta....back when I could play crucible without bee bugs
-
Nechrobump so OP can reflect on his beta experiences after playing the full game so long
-
I feel like an idiot because I never even thought of recording some cool gameplay from my xbox one with the dvr... the only proof I have of playing the beta is the screenshots I took of my guardian before our characters were erased... but I guess its better than nothing :)
-
See you tomorrow Guardians.
-
Not my last one but I think it's one of the better ones.
-
The final image of my female Awoken Hunter before she disappeared into the ether forever. ='(
-
Miss it already...
-
See you space cowboy...

-

Me and my crew rockin it old school

Hopefully the community wont change once the full game is released. Everyone I played with (usually) was so nice and helpful, which is something that I have never experienced in a console game before. Hell, there were even little kids on who, while they really should not have been on Xbox Live in the first place, but who were also not totally annoying. A complete change from games like Halo and COD.

dont give me the feels =( I felt horrible when beta ended, I was in the middle of a pvp match. I would have rather been sitting next to 15 guardians in the tower, staring into a sunset.. </3
-
I wasn't close to the Tower at all...

Edited by BOBBY digital31: 7/29/2014 8:38:21 PMMy beta ending was spent with everyone in the entire tower dancing in a circle. Needless to say it was a perfect "xbox record that" moment. I made a video of it: Destiny Beta Farewell: http://youtu.be/a5tttp9xgpk

I never had a emotional ending like all you guy did lol! All that happened to me was that i was grinding money out of Hive and Fallen for a new Sparrow lol.
-
I played a final Crucible game before the shutdown, then I just let the intro music play loudly as the servers died. Truly heartbreaking.

The last few moments of the Beta were the saddest and most intense of my life. With just over thirty minutes left, I gathered my two friends and went for one last strike. Before we left, the three of us paused at the Tower, and looked over the railing, knowing we were not going to return. I wish I had gotten a screenshot of it, but it didn't come to mind. The strike went fairly as expected, but towards the end, we knew we were cutting it close. About five minutes before the Server closed, we had pushed into the Lair of Sepiks Prime. We fought like demons, exterminating the Fallen within. There was no time for Tact or Strategy. We poured everything we had into destroying the High Servitor one last time. Our hunter, firing one last round from her Golden Gun, went down first. Our Warlock, who had just delivered a Nova Bomb, went down trying to Revive her. It was only me and Sepiks now. Both He and I were in the extreme red. A hit from either of us could take the other down. Wanting to go for the Big finish, I pull out my Rocket Launcher, my Titan expertly loading it's last projectile. I see his face light up. I witness the Purple ball take flight toward my head as I finish loading my weapon. I raise the sights to my helmet, and let it fly. It was anyone's game. In mid-flight, right before it strikes, The server shuts down. It was truly the best ending Beta experience I had ever had. And I'm certain it will be the greatest one for a long time to come...

I'm crying from how beautiful your experience was. I wish I could have been there with you and the others, admiring The Traveler's beauty and graciousness. I can almost see it, majestically floating as if it were outer guardian angel. I can hear the noises of the busy city below. I can feel the cool breeze brush past my face, as my the hairs on my neck stick up. I know the darkness will consume us, kicking us out of the game as they laugh maniacally. But I am warm inside. I keep in mind that there is only roughly 40 days until I can unlock my full potential. I will be able to fight back the darkness, and kick it out of our galaxy. I look left and right, knowing that these brave Guardians will fight along with me. I take it all in as I feel the beta ending. "But this is only the beginning," I think, "we will push back the Darkness using every ounce of strength, courage, and Light we can find." This is the End and the Beginning. The beta ends, and I stare at a blank TV screen.

Very cool. I definitely had more fun in this tiny slice of a game than I have with any game in the last 2 years.

i have finally been able to sit on a balloon before the beta end
